I'm planning on what nil us suggested having a tournament where the winner is team captain, then it is down to the captain to pick the other 2 members for the team (although I would like all teams to pick the best players, I would rather teams be welcomed back the following year rather than crush all before them and induce a negative play experience for the others)

An average system?? I thought everyone play the games and then each round they are totaled up to see current country in the lead... Of course a key part will be the Tournament drinking and deductions for turning up late day 2 due to drink

Alrighty, sounds good to me, a weekend of games and the winning team gets the trophy and bragging rights for a year Just good hearted butt kicking for a weekend 2-3 could be good, I'm unsure on the player base in Ireland so I will have to rely on your views for that

Heh....Knew it would work...a quick jibe at hiding and I knew someone would come here I'm thinking about 5 per team...numbers dependant. Location would probably be Maelstrom for the first one then, depending on who wins, it will be that location the following year

I'm really hoping for somewhere central for the first one and then bounce it to the yearly winners for the following...not sure where it will be held for its first year *grin*

Play for which country you would call yourself...if you lived in England, but born in Wales but called yourself Welsh then Team Wales or if you called yourself English then Team England

I do think this could be a lot of fun and maybe inject a bit of 'friendly' competition around the country...also we would all love to parade the trophy around and be able to call ourselves the UK's best team... Hopefully there will be plenty of interest and then things can really get rolling

I have been toying with this idea of late and I now want to gauge interest for such an event. "What is this event?" I hear you all scream! Well what I am proposing is kind of a national ashes kinda thing have it a nation team tournament....Team England vs Team Scotland vs Team Wales vs Team Ireland. I would want to make this an annual event and have the winners host each year... Make it a weekend tournament and maybe have teams of 5 to start and see how popularity goes. This is all I have so far but what do you all think?

This is because as they only really play tournaments here in the UK and the majority are all shared

I agree with what you are saying, but I think also that thematic forces in all games are inherently weak...Look at PP and their theme lists, or GW if you went for a fluffy list you would get blown to pieces by the latest meta for that week. Also I know this will get stick but who would competitively play with a 'theme' force...we all know that you optimise the crew for synergy and filth....the only theme that works is Hamelin and that is because you may start with rats etc but they will soon be dead. But don't get me wrong you are right with most of what you are saying, they have had plenty of time to fix things like bury and Dreamer/LCB and the fix is good but it shouldn't have needed to be made if caught during 'playtesting'. Also, yes you are a troll but we all love you for it! Rich
