  1. The dimensions will not help you much, as she has much more to worry about than just width and height with her bendy leg, sword and crazy wings. I recommend putting her together first, even if its just temporarily.
  2. Ryle's rules clearly state that the extra flip is applied "after dealing damage", and so does not become one total with the weapon's initial damage.
  3. Does this mean that Lilith can target herself with Transposition? I have heard that she cannot because it requires an opposed duel, but that does not mean that it is an attack (as far as I know, it must be able to cause damage to be an attack).
  4. Her name literally means "dissolute, immoral", like the "holy man" from which she takes her namesake. She has built-in guilt, like a Hummer or a burger from Wendy's.
  5. Been using it since it hit the shelves, and I have to say that it is very useful, but it won't cover every situation where you would use regular green stuff. Awesome as a gap filler and for fixing those frequent bubbled spots in resin models, such as with Finecast and Wyrd's new resin models.
  6. That is certainly true. Maybe if they toned down the stacking damage, but gave her more mobility.... Still, that is the way of most death stars: deadly, but rather slow. There really aren't any other tricks she plays. She does play it rather well, however. As a side note... poor Marcus, he needs some love.
  7. Rasputina gets a bad rap, sometimes. Sure, she dies if you sneeze on her. But that is what she is: a glass death-ray, and it hurts to be in the way of that death-ray. How good she is comes largely down to terrain, and less on who she is fighting.
  8. I use Nekima all the time, even after the Nephilim Heart change, and I have no problem with her cost. When I can easily make a Mature Nephilim in one turn out of 5 points of models, she has already paid herself down to 8 points. If i decide to go with a full grow build, then she pays for herself almost completely. There are some combos that are dangerous for grow builds in general (Pigapults! *shake fist*), and when I think my opponent will field something that can hit me while I'm still feeding the babies, then I'll go with a different build. The only thing I would do is change Nephilim Heart to be a bit more logical, as some of the stats it gives mask to don't correspond to any triggers/abilities on either model (unless this may change in the future).
  9. So, if the Pigapult ignores LoS, then it can hit anything in range, even things indoors or in buildings? In fact, can't it be in the basement of a building and ripping into you as you try to get down there? The blocking trait only blocks LoS, not strikes (as they only require range and LoS, the latter of which is circumvented).
  10. Pretty sure Hunter will not affect it, thanks to the foresight of Hunter's wording. Should the Stalker ability be considered universal? In other words, does the newest model with the Stalker ability reflect how that ability works for all models who have it? Also, does that go for all abilities in general?
  11. So far I'm putting effect counters as markers for expiring effects on the puppet's stat card and putting actual counters with the puppet in play in order to keep them distinct. Of course, 5 activation rounds is a short span for a two-player game, and it isn't too difficult to remember the more temporary effects. I suppose you could also mark the cards with dry-erase with effects as you would for rips.
  12. Except that those expansions require multiple purchases of each, even at (or because of) this small stage of the game's development. Not only that, but you get waste due to the overlap of the starter box's contents across 3 other boxes. As for randomness, there is plenty of that. It is no coincidence that the one random puppet is also the most iconic one in Malifaux, comes in 5 variants and ignores the 3 like-minion limit in PW. It is a thinly-veiled marketing ploy, plain and simple. If a living board game is the intent, then the current marketing plan will see it become a tangled mess in which it devolves into a trading game.
  13. I really wish that every puppet was unique, even the minions, which would actually make it analogous to a board game with expansions in the proper sense. When a game makes an expansion, generally you only need to buy that expansion once to enjoy all of its benefits. If they couldn't market the game to be more flexible, then the boosters and expansions should have been designed to be one-time purchases, rather than 3 of each booster and you get a bunch of extras left over.
  14. You can buy a deck of Uno cards, a deck of playing cards, and the newest version of Battleship for less than the starter box costs. If you want a "full deck" in Puppet Wars, then it becomes a major investment, and that's even if you don't factor in the dozens of Teddys you would have to have to actually play every combination in a normal-sized game (not that any sane person cares to try). So don't to compare PW to a complete game in one box. That is not what it is, it is just what you would like to think it is. I have never met anyone who wanted to buy any part of the Battleship game or Uno game separately, because there was no reason to do so. I saw half a dozen people yesterday who would like to get individual puppets, or at least more options as to their arrangement. Whether or not it is feasible due to expense or other complications is irrelevant to the fact that there are many people who want specific puppets, and that getting the puppets one wants is a relevant part of the game. Also, I don't see what your stake is in Wyrd's current marketing model, anyway. Unless you just like interjecting into relevant discussions with irrelevant, asinine comments because you need attention of some kind. In short, your analogy fails.
  15. Thanks, ThePandaDirector. I understand the difficulties with logistics, space available to retailers for niche products, and trying to get an initial release that can generate genuine interest. Like you, I plan to hoard all of my puppets and would never trade a minion unless I had 4 or more of it. Not all players feel the same way, as I'm sure you know. A lot of players just want one small gang of minis to which they only ever make slight changes, and while it is not practical to make that available, the farther away the model is from the ideal, the larger the obstacle to drawing in new players. I want others to be interested in the game so that I have people I can play the game with, and that means that they have to be persuaded that it is a good value. I suppose I should just give it time for the range to flush out more and make it more practical to make more options for collecting puppets available.
