  1. The more I look at pigs the more I think we need a few more pig releases to make a less gremlin focused list really pop. A bit more suvivalbility and damage maybe in a medium based pig, or a buffer hog giving hard to wound out to piglets and warhogs.
  2. Ahh I havent had much success with the boomerang so far. Then agian I havent gotten to use it with skeeters yet. Hopefully my FLGS got them in today.
  3. Does the piglet melee trigger even come into play much. I guess if youve got the pig focused set up, hog whisperer and skeeters for soey etc. It doesnt seem worth it to whack a perfectly good shooting gremlin otherwise, and somer shouldnt be doing it to enemies if at all possible.
  4. Maybe just a bipedal mutant hedgehog then. With a 12 inch walk and 20 inch charge.
  5. I think that better describes their evil neverborn counterparts.
  6. Staying off topic a bit does A Somer keep Survival of the Fittest? I dont believe the avatar thread mentioned it. If he doesnt it makes the Hog Whisperer very nice on manifest turn since you have to dump 2 cards to keep a skeeter then can larva a gremlin to regain cards thanks to the whisperer.
  7. I just split the purchase, two now along with the slop haulers and taxidermist plus the stuffed piglets, two more when I order the Ophelia box. Keeps me from painting the same model four times in a short space of time.
  8. I look forward to hearing about how your game goes and your thoughts on Somer. As a learning Somer player Im interested to see how things go. Also those skeeter tricks are awesome and timely since my first pair are arriving Thursday and hitting the table Friday.
  9. I like the gambler idea, either as a master or just a minion. Other then that Id like some more henchmen before full masters. Maybe some upgraded versions of sidekick minions, like Rusty Alice and Mortimer.
  10. Obeyed papa loco is indeed a pain. As a new player learning the game agianst the Ortegas I feel your pain. Generally my group uses 10+ pieces of terrain, however most of it is large line of site blocking terrian with smaller bits for breaking up the shooting lanes such terrain creates. So far the only general tactic ive been able to come up with is to spilt the family up as best you can. Use schemes that force them to defend spread out points to prevent you from scoring. This hopefully prevent them from companioning half the family and drowning you in actions. If he stays grouped up, you should have a free run at some of your objectives.
  11. Yeah that hogs gotta outway the warhog by a good amount. It's a terrible waste of good bacon flinging that baby down field.
  12. That is an awesome model. Im glad I put in a preorder for it ( I hope the distributer my flgs uses is driving me and the store owner insane).
  13. Sadly im working this weekend. I'll pass the info on to the other guys and see if we cant find a good day sometime in the near future to head up and take you up on that offer.
  14. Thanks for the warm welcome. Ive got the Levi and Somer boxes at the moment and a few extra things for both crews. The other players and I have been talking about going to Toledo once we're past the learning phase, and can find a night that works for all of us.
  15. Hello all, nice to be a part of the community after lurking on and off for a while now. About a year ago a few veteran gamers and I ordered some starter boxes, and then interest died the week the boxes got in. A few 40k gamers are now getting into the game and im finally using the crews that have been sitting in a drawer. So far its been a fun experience learning the game. Anyway nice to be part of the community. Check out baddonkeygaming.com for some videos of the gaming group (no Mailfaux videos yet), I go by Necron John in the few videos im in.
