  1. I plan on using a yin i'm working on in friday's match against a lilith grow list. I was wondering what peoples experiences with her have been on the table so I know what to expect. If it matters, here is the crew I'll be running: Ten Thunders Crew - 35 - Scrap Jakob Lynch -- 6 Pool Hungering Darkness [0ss] Ama No Zako [9ss] The Depleted [4ss] The Depleted [4ss] The Illuminated [6ss] Yin, the Penangalan [8ss] While not exactly a thematic list I think it'll be fun playing them together.
  2. Thanks for the quick replies. Now I just have to find a way to make a 30mm based model look good on a 40mm base. @Omenbringer - Couldn't help it. I laughed.
  3. I am currently modifying the Dark haven model of the Pennangalan and was wondering what the official model looks like. I would like to make my proxy as close to the official model as possible. Does anybody have a picture of or a link to a shot of the model?
  4. Very nice job on the conversion. Who does the claw belong to?
  5. Very nice job on the terrain. The pictures? Still better then what my camera can do.
  6. It sounds like it could be fun to play. Does the darkness serve a purpose or is just added on as a beat stick?
  7. Perhaps for fluff reasons? Similar to why Hoffman can field Coppelius.
  8. The clockwork faries and the puppet wars minis are both good suggestions. I may use one of the killer dolls as a tiny mannequin or as a base adornment for collodi.
  9. Thank you. They look pretty good actually.
  10. I'm currently finishing up my Collodi crew and I find that I can't bring myself to paint my marionettes. There is just something about the models that I really dislike. Can anyone suggest any models that would make a good substitute for the current Wyrd models? Thanks.
  11. I and my fiance do it as well. Or at least try to do it.
  12. I prefer semi complex models over models with a novel or rules myself. While simple models can be enjoyable to use the complex models offer too many ways for a novice to make a mistake. A simple read but not a bad one.
  13. In short the minis are going to be posted online for public use/mockery. I want to keep them as balanced as possible simply because that's just how I am.
  14. I just looked through the thread suggested and I'm pretty sure I'll be able to create something from there. Thanks for the suggestions. And of course there will be much to hammer out once I have the base work completed.
  15. I live over in shirley. I've been to Brothers Grimm before but it is far out of the way for me and I wouldn't see myself going there very often. Re-railing this thread now. There is a model I want to make for my Kirai crew called the bound woman. It is basically a woman in a red kimono bound up with cords that resemble a spider's thread. I was thinking she could have a low wk/cg and slow models with an aura. I want to try and fluff it so that she is similar to a Jurougumo (Spider woman in Asian mythology)
  16. Very nice jester look. Good job.
  17. My fiance is becoming more interested in Maifaux and wants to incorporate some minis from other games into our kitchen table games. (Note: that means will not see official FLGS play) Some models I could see being a proxy but for others there is no mini they could resemble. In short, are there any guidelines or suggestions on how to properly stat and price a model?
  18. I want in. Now if the fedex people would just stop delaying my delivery already!
  19. Thanks for the compliment. Do you think there is anythign else I can add to the base to make it seem fuller?
  20. Just finished reading and I'm glad the dark debts stuff will be my first new purchase.
  21. There appears to have been an issue with my upload of the hungering darkness proxy. Oh well. Here are two more mindless zombies I recently finished touching up.
