Draxtar Games in Batavia, IL will be hosting a Hardcore Henchman Tournament on 5/19. Check in begins at 7PM. Cards flip at 7:30PM. Draxtar Games 1375 Wind Energy Pass, Batavia, IL 60510 (630) 454-4585 $5 Entry fee. Pot gots to 1st place and a prize for 2nd place. This tournament will go for 3 rounds. Rounds will last 30 minutes with a 20 min break between rounds. Restrictions Henchman Hardcore is different from standard Malifaux in the following ways: • All Crews must be led by a Henchman, not a Master. • The game size is 20 Soulstones. • All Crews must contain exactly 4 models, no more, no less. • Upgrades may be purchased, as allowed by the standard rules of Malifaux. • The size of a Crew’s Soulstone Pool is limited by the Cache of the Henchman leading it; any Soulstones above this amount are discarded. • Any Actions, Abilities, or Triggers which summon models are considered to be “blank” (they may not be used and have no effect on the game, as if they were not printed on the model). • Only one Scheme will be available. • The same Crew must be used in each round of the event. Set Up All rounds use the following set up: • Deployment: Close. • Strategy: Hardcore Turf War. This Strategy uses the Turf War rules (Core Rulebook pg. 66) with the exception that VP may be scored on the first Turn. • Scheme Pool: Assassinate (Core Rulebook pg. 68). Greetings Everyone, Starting this month Draxtar Games, in Batavia, IL, will be holding a bi-monthly, midweek Malifaux events. This month the event will be a 32ss starter box event. Each player may only hire/summon models available in a single starter box. (Models that do not come in the starter box may not be hired or summoned.) Example: Player 1 wants to hire Seamus, he may hire 32ss worth of models/upgrades that are available in the Shadows of Redchapel starter box. Player 1 MAY NOT hire a Bette Noir, as she is NOT available in the Shadows of Redchapel starter box. There is a $5 entry fee. The player with the highest differential, will win the pot in store credit. (TP/DIFF/VP/FACTION VP/STRATEGY VP) + Card flips if needed to break ties (best out of 3) There will also be a raffle prize for all participants. Tournament Rules: Gaining Grounds 2016 along with T.O. discretion. Painting requirements: None, but models need to be properly assembled and based. Proxy: Per Gaining Grounds 2016 Conversions: These are allowed per the Gaining Grounds 2016 rules at the T.O. discretion. Unfortunately, Gaining Grounds 2016 has not been released yet. I think I heard it was going to be released the last week in January. A new Gaining Grounds is not released by the Wednesday before the Tournament, I will run the special strategies from Gaining Grounds 2015 for the month of January.
