  1. How do things like harmless factor in to that order? would you only have to take a harmless check (or other targeting restriction) if the initial target was harmless or do you take it after final target is determined?
  2. I would disagree with that, there is no reason that the two rules cant interact, especialy as the rules manuel gives guidelines for when rules contridict each other (as in this case) pg 7 the section on Breaking the rules "When the rules for two models contridict each other rules that say can overrides may, and a rule that says cannot will override can." VRats is a rule that say can "No other model can be summoned as a result of the model being killed." I dont have the alp card in front of me but I dont believe that it says cannot, thus I think that VRats would override Never Wake up.
  3. well, two things - 1 - when a rat respawsn it prevents any other models from being summoned due to the rats death, so no matter the order if a new rat is summoned then no other models get summoned, there are plenty of cases where abilities effect other abilities that have already taken place i.e when a model dies, before it dies do x etc. you could also make the argument that no other models being summoned is an instance of 'cannot' which would override the 'may or can' loosely following the breaking the rules paragraph in the RM pg 7 (just my two cents) 2 if the hamelin player has his wits about him you simply summon the new rat further away from lilith untill the rat is out of range (it may take one or two kills though)
  4. 1st - yes rat catchers can pick up the treasure using a 1 acrion (all there interacts cost 1) and yes I believe that hamelin can obeay them to walk and they wont drop the treasure, note other masters can have the same thing, Zerida comes to mind (she has obeay) 3nd - yes hamelin can have a crazy number of activations, however remember that if you activate a rat, all rats that have not activated within 4" of that rat will activate as well (it will cut down on the total number of activations that you get)
  5. Only if your oponent kills them does he get points, you dont give away points for killing your own stuff
  6. although if you flip the red joker and something else (other than the black joker) you can choose to take something else if you want. for example if you were attacking you own model and flipped the red joker + something else for the resist
  7. Don't have my book on me but I thought you could only move the treasure by taking a walk action i.e. (1) Walk, not 'model moves its walk' etc
  8. Thats what I thought, as a Hamelin player I'm not complaining, seams a bit too powerfull, granted once the rat fails to hit the chain stops, but can still be powerfull
  9. So rules question here - aHamelin takes the action Frenzied Piping (Friendly vermin may inflict 1 wd on themselves when inflicting dg to increase the dg by +1) now you have an undamaged rat with a blight token (all rats wind up with blight tokens basicly) that attacks a model, and does damage at this point the rat can chose to take 1 wd from Hamelins action (perfectly legas as this wont kill the rat) the rat takes the wd and because it has a blight counter will take an aditional wd, killing the rat. Persuming the rat is near a rat catcher, when it is killed another rat will be summoned into base contact, and due to aHamelins "Mark of contagion" will gain a blight counter. am I missing something here or can a rat basicly respon infinetly (as long as it keeps doing damage...)
  10. Or as they have stated in the main rule book, they are covering there bases for future rules
  11. there are some spells etc.. that only effect / don't effect soulless models, especialy in Hamelins crew or Leveticus crew
  12. Nah, looks like Hamelin also is missing out (dont have the book though, so just going off rumors)
  13. he should be allowed to always cheat after his oponent or instead of cheating fate may chose to replace any card played with one in his hand (i.e. he gets the card he is replacing) only for him though, not for minions
  14. Nah, they wouldn't be slow, but to take them you must have at least one model capable of healing for every 2 union rats, you can only take union models, and they wont attack other union models. On the plus side they will be automicly be turned into a union rat suporvisor on turn 4, however they can then only take move or protest actions.
  15. I would agree with that, if the building has a ceiling then pulses / auras / blasts cant see over the wall, however if there was LOS from the origination model out of a window or door to the target then a case could be made for it to effect the target model
  16. I think it depends on a couple of other factors - 1- what height is the wall? Blasts and auras and pulses have heights, (not that I can remember the height is) so if the height is greater than the wall it will go over the wall 2- if the pulse / aura origionates from within a building then I believe the only way it can effect thing outside is by exiting a door or a window, this is extrapolating from the building rules and there explination of how indoor environments work
  17. I believe that a disengaging strike is clasified as a strike (could be wrong) and as sutch it needs a target, and as hamelin cant be targeted by Ht 1 and insiginificant then they cant do it.
  18. I would asume that it effects everything, it simply states gains +1dg, I asume that this changes the damage flip to 3/5/7 so if you did moderate the blast would do 3pts of damage. As oposed to a rule like Ice Gamins Bite of winter rule whitch is +1 dg to targets (I dont think pigapult specifies targets)
  19. Although the pigapult also ads +1 dg, so it could do 1dg as well
  20. Looks like the Pigapult can inflick blasts on weak damage, if a stuffed pig is sacrificed for pork barrage, then the weapon inflicts +1:blast and +1Dg so it would have Dg: 3 / 4 :blast /6 :blast:blast Interesting
  21. Except that Vaoracious rats states '... Summon one Malifaux Rat into base contact with the model before it is removed from play.' so if everything is hapening similtaniously then it would hapen before the - You remove the killed models from play step (just playing devils advocate here)
  22. That is correct, the spell create terrain pieces, and then ends. The terrain created stays in play untill it is destroyed.
  23. Verry nice, out of curisoity (and because I'm looking to print a custom set of cards) where did you have them printed / what did you use for card stock?
  24. What about two must activations - for instnce if a malifaux rat is pacified, and one nearby activates? Would the pacified one also activate?
