  1. Not disputing, I just don't get why/how you could think stealing a spell that lets you use a specific rule grants you said rule. It is cristal clear to me and never even thought it might.
  2. Let me put it to you in a simple way. If Molly got the Spell, where do you get the rules to do Drawn to Death? Molly's card doesn't have it, and all you borrow is the text in the spell.
  3. In my opinion, there is no need for specific rules. It is simple logic and semantics. If X thing (Molly's stealing spell) grants you Y thing (stolen spell) that lets you use Z specific thing (unburrowing ability) in a new different circumstance, it's stance to reason, you must have Z thing before hand.
  4. I take it you don't realise Drawn to Death is an ability, not part of the spell?
  5. Molly/NR lack Drawn to Death, so why would you cast this?
  6. C. Hoffman is my favorite. I have a whole topic as to why: http://wyrd-games.net/forum/showthread.php?t=20847 Others I like: Lady Justice: I like Law/Order themes Seamus: Undead Hookers, nothing more needs to be said. Sonnia: Big Boom, Big Boom, Big Boom! Zoraida: Old Hag with a plan Pandora: Mythological figure The 3 Docs - Ramos, Marcus, and McMourning: Geniuses in their own right Rasputina: Might be more messed up in the head than Seamus Nicodem: Classy guys, he just likes Zombies I probably missed a few, hehe.
  7. Marketing genius(es). Billy Mays has nothing on these ads.
  8. That has to do with a story about Coppelius written by a real guy named C. Hoffman.
  9. Snow Storm can get totems since when? O.o
  10. I believe Ryle's mind (most of it anyway) is trapped inside C. Hoffman himself. Why do I think so? Hoffman's Avatar manifestation created a contruct that was big, protected him, and cared for him, Book 3 even says it treats him like a brother. It is well noted that pre-entering the breach, Ryle was overprotective of his little brother. This may explain why even when he is unconscious, Constructs without functioning cortexes still operate. This maybe Ryle's consciousness. *wild speculation over*
  11. Here are a few suggestions for Wyrd, post if you agree with any of them or with your own. - Offer books in both Hardcover and Softcover, I would pay $10 more happily for Hardcover books. - Offer a Counter / Token set. - More Wyrd Chronicles! - The next step to Puppet Wars, make Puppet Plushies! I would love a Teddy, Seamus, Hoffman, Baby Kade, Pandora, and Rasputina plushie, hell, I'd love any Puppet Wars plushies.
  12. Sadly, traveling to a Con as a handicapped man (meaning I will need a traveling partner) living in Puerto Rico makes the trip very costly and difficult. I don't think I could get to conventions even though I'd love to . Every nerd/gamer/hobbyist (I fall on all 3) should go to one at least once.
  13. While the Book signed copy is while supplies last, the BF Sale at TheWarStore.com lasts until Monday. I don't think they'll run out of them as it is a very particular item, so you should have time to think. This is based on pure speculation of course.
  14. It says Author. My guess, Nathan (Creator of Malifaux) or Eric (Lead Game Designer).
  15. I was talking on working on the given bases, not buying pre sculpted ones.
  16. While I have some dipped minis, they where never dipped, the dip was brushed on with an old/cheap brush.
  17. Well I just found out a relative got me Puppet Wars and a few Boosters in a Black Friday sale. I may not get to open it until Xmas but I want to start thinking of who to take care of painting and basing 40+ puppets. I was thinking of plain bases and using Army Painter dip. Anyone tried using dip on puppets?
  18. NOOOO....Hoffman is the boss. Darn it.
  19. Neither am I. But I was rather exited when they said (or implied, but I'm pretty sure someone at Wyrd did say it) you could use Puppet Wars models in Malifaux easily as the bases fit on 30mm bases (there are even preview pictures of models on both bases together).
  20. You can notice the implied relation Hoffman has with M&SU members in book 3. He has a talk with Johan and other workers in front of Lady Justice, Francisco, and Santiago.
  21. I am sad I bought my copy earlier this month. But there it is for others to go get: http://www.thewarstore.com/product70697.html
  22. I just hope they are sold at a later date myself. I don't own Puppet Wars (beyond the Pawns 2 Booster I won in the twitter contest) but it is in my future buy list. Who knows, Santa might surprise me with it (read, relatives are aware I'm interested in it).
  23. Wait, pre sculpted base or pre sculpted insert?
