  2. Hi All, Having played with Colette quite a bit now, and having worked out what I think are some good tactics and gameplay when using her, I thought I would post up my thoughs and suggestions for using her and her crew. This is a different approach to the way Mr Nybbles originally did his Tactica, so hopefully it brings something different to you for your perusal...I have not focused on individual models, instead looking at overall gameplay and tactics to be used making the most of the synergies between models. Please feel free to give any comments you have, or suggestions for tactics I havent included or those you feel could be tweaked to make them even better! This is a work in progress.....but hopefully if we can flesh this out between us, it can go onto the Pull My Finger Wiki... Due to the length I will post this in parts in this thread...
  3. Cherry Beer will do just fine, thanks. As for the Robot, Just make sure there are plenty of stairs...he can't Hover right?!.... I hope I play against Headcase2 then.. As for playing against Magic, that would be a tough close fought game!
  4. So who is the robot?...Target priority 1 are they then?...haha Kriek, sounds good! Thanks, much appreciated!
  5. She is a useful addition when you know which Master you are going against, or in scenarios like Claim Jump where you need to be at a certain point of the board, otherwise you could be forced away from the area you want to be, and her Aura Ability stops that happening from Terror sources or any other sources that cause a Fall Back move. Also, at 35ss, you can ditch the typical Dove and 3ss to fit her in, still gives you the rest of the standard crew and 4 stones to start with...then ss factory the first 2 turns and summong 1-2 doves to piggyback the Duet....
  6. I thought the Rules Manual mentions somewhere that only 1 model can be summoned from any 1 other model being killed? There was a recent Rules discussion on this Forum discussing summoning multiple models which involved Kirai's Seishin and something else..so im not sure. Edit: Just found tbe previous discussion http://wyrd-games.net/forum/showthread.php?t=24357 which seems to say you can get multiple models, but would have to refer to the referenced Post by Weird Sketch
  7. Umm, no, I didnt see any previous results...but thats history, and this is the here and now and Pie! Oh and I heard you guys have Cherry Beer?! Really????!!! Im so trying some of that if you do!
  8. Bring it on Craig, see if we get a decider...Win / loss / ? Seeing as you won with marcus last game I reckon it's my turn to win this time round!...haha... see who is the best Arcanist! lol :guns:
  9. Haha. no, Muppets is the new team name for the runner-up team after Sunday!...Puppeteers for the win, ROFLSTOMP get ready for a name change!! Thanks Adanedhel, good to be on the winning team!
  10. Chocolate pie! Yh that's gd, ok I'm on board with team puppeteers if u want a UK addition?! Puppets for the win!
  11. ooh, a ROFLcopter!! Puppeteers, you gotta have something to compete with that...!...Just bear in mind that both us UK players are fairly equally matched..and at the risk of sounding imodest, very good players...and I like the idea of being on the opposite team to magic just to keep things interesting...plus I like the no strings attached motto!!
  12. Well, I vote for whichever team has the most Arcanists/anti Neverborn players!! And ideally the ones with the best taste in beer ofcourse..! At the moment the puppeteers are coming out as the stronger team for me...
  13. I may be somewhat fortunate, but I do always end up with atleast 1 spare high card for defence, after having good value :tomes and :masks for my triggers... but if I dont see atleast a 10 flipped on my + ss flip for defence, im disappointed.. As for Cory and Paralyse, totally agree with you Odin, and if you need it, you got your Cassandra who can use that spell too..switch in your performer with Colette for lots of Poison fun! Getting Performers to use their poison ability isnt that hard if your intending on doing it...and it can completely destroy enemy models...not that ive needed that tactic yet...
  14. Haha, indeed! Looks like it could be beer coming your way then!..Definitely looking forward to Sunday, got a feeling it could be a really fun and challenging event, especially at 30ss!!
  15. What about the other big group, the Puppeteers?!....They recruiting too?..
  16. Yeah, how do we get to join a team for this weekend?!....:confusedpuppet
  17. Well, me and Magic and driving over to you guys this weekend, only a few hours to make the journey, give or take. Ive heard good things about this tournament from those that went last year, definitely labelled as the highlight of the Malifaux tournament year so if you can make it I'm sure you will thoroughly enjoy it!
  18. In fact, I would expect to hit around the 30+ mark for total score to defend against anything that could potentially remove Colette from the game (12 or 13 in hand to cheat in, plus 11 or more with the ss) Also worth adding, anything that Sacrifices it's target or Headshot effects also a serious threat to Colette, as they bypass the regular Dg/Wd causing effects, and simply kill/sacrifice the target instead.
  19. Just bear in mind, even without a Tome, Colette is difficult to kill, as she can simply use her Slow to Die action to burn a SoulStone and heal. Your Red Joker is then effectively wasted. She only has 6 wounds, she will go down to 0 regardless of excess wounds caused, then heal back up whatever she flips for the healing flip. Hey presto she is still alive. I personally wouldnt waste a Red Joker against Colette, not when she only has 6 wounds even at full health anyway. Also, I wouldnt have taken Assasination against her. Preference mostly, but she is notoriously difficult to kill...having played around 30 games with her against some strong opponents, my Colette has only ever been killed the once..
  20. You know you want to mate!!... come join us..If you can convince James to join in (im chatting with him this weekend about it), then you can share journey to the airport, and share a room with him... those are all things that should be built into the costs...to help keep this open to as many people as possible..the plan is not to price anyone out, but there is obviously a limit to how cheap it can be made as the flights are the big hitter
  21. I don't really mind either way whether we use Dead/Avatars. Some may have an issue though as the models not officially released, and some possibly couldnt afford to order online and pay x amount of postage and import tax... So down to Dave as TO to make the call.
  22. Great! Well as it stands, we are waiting on the airlines to offer prices for that time of year. They only tend to advertise costs 10 months or so in advance, so the travel organiser is hoping to negotiate costs in the next month or so, then that being the biggest cost, we can give a more accurate idea of cost. But the organiser said my estimate of £900 should be around the right amount. Certainly a lot better than €1000 for just flights!
  23. Us UK lot just seem to have our own seperate rankings then..well until this weekend anyway!..
  24. Ofcourse! I am hoping for as many people from as many different countries as possible. Also worth noting the more people we can get on board, the better the price for all of those attending and the more likely we will have support from Wyrd.... I will update the first post to include the names of those who have put their names forward as hoping to attend. As for price, the first post mentions saving about £75 a month til Gencon (so around £900). I appreciate this isnt a small figure, but the biggest cost will be flights. Again, if we can get a good number of people attending the travel organiser is hoping to negotiate a group discount with the flight operator.
  25. The official wording of the Gaining Ground document says "...nor can a player enter a tournament with a model that has not yet been released to the general public." Not sure how that works in this case, but I would have thought that since GenCon was a limited release and the Avatar's are not readily available to the general public, that Avatar's would not be allowed until such time as there release date comes round, at which point they are then available to the general public. Do I understand that correctly? If im wrong then that's fine.
