A tip is to not apply too much wash in one go. Be a bit restrictive and if you feel you need more, paint some where you think it should be thicker once the first layer has dried. Once you get the hang of it wash will be your best friend. Makes everything look good.

My poor gremlins have at most Wp 4. Run to the hills.

I'd suggest you pick up a blister of Slop Haulers as well. They do a world of difference when it comes to effectiveness of your LaCroix's. If you drag a Slop Hauler along with your main group you basically get free Reckless actions to 4 other gremlins since the minimum healing you'll get is 1 wound (unless pulling the black joker). My best buy by far after the Ophelia box set.

Any suggestions as how to handle a Hamelin the Plagued crew with the LaCroix's? Since no model can target him it's an uphill battle from the start.. :<

Looks awesome but doesn't really feel gremilny. Way too high-tech. Maybe with an old school cast iron cannon, but this steam punk stuff feels out of place.

What about Ophelia? I'm thinking Assassinate and Treasure Hunt. Assassinate since when needed more or less the whole crew can activate at once and mow down a master who got too close, or Trasure Hunt since with Ophelia and Reckless a treasure carrier is very mobile. Thoughts?

Slighty off-topic, but I'll give it a go anyway. Is it possible to order cards for models not released yet? Thinking mainly of the Young LaCroix at the moment, but will probably want one for the Pigapult too, eventually. ^^

A steampunk wagon that doesn't need anything pulling it should probably fit on a 50mm. At least if you build it a little higher.

Slop Hauler

I'm a beginner myself and after playing a few games with the LaCroixs i felt like I really needed a Slop Hauler, for the heals. Adding one should give me more freedom to use Reckless and Dumb and Lucky without killing myself in the process. My crew so far consists of the LaCroix starter box, 2 Slop Haulers, 1 Young LaCroix and a box of Bayou Gremlins, just to fill up the numbers where needed.

My first Young LaCroix, converted from an o.o.p. WHFB Snotling. Pig skin loincloth and bright yellow suspenders, with leather hat and boots. The top of his hat reaches just above nipple height on Ophelia. And he's stolen Francois' pistol.

The idea behind it is that Ophelia doesn't have a proper fashion sense, so she thinks her pink pants match the blue shirt and bright red lipstick. The opposite goes for Francois. He tries to look cool with neutral colors and an old cigarettebud in his mouth.

My LaCroix's, painted and fit for fight. Just need a few young'uns, bayous and slop haulers and I'm ready for a brawl.
