2nd ed ! To little terrain can make the game seem very unbalanced. Lots of terrain makes the whole game more tactical and fun to play.

He's worth taking just for the look on your oponents face when you tell them they are taking 5 damage from a weak damage flip and they got 2 more shots coming in ! He can be good given the right terrain, scout and hunter can make him deceptivley quick on a terrain heavy board, but he has got a huge target above his head. Using him with Sonnia against high cast masters can be brutal. He really is a glass cannon though and anyone thats faced him before tends to make him target number one.

Well if anyones thinking of buying it at that price i'll sell them mine for $243 and free postage from the UK *wink*

Ok had a chat with the guys down at the gaming center and the weekend of September 22nd and 23rd looks good to host Plymouths first Malifaux event If people can let me know if that date is suitable ? A quick search on laterooms gave me prices from £140 for both nights based on 4 sharing (thats £35 per person for the weekend) At a hotel walking distance from the train station and about £5 taxi ride from venue. Not sure on how to price tickets yet that will depend on if people want lunch both days included in the price ? so keep the advice coming in and I will work on tournement pack and cool stuff for people to do both during and after the days fun.

Thanks for that its been bugging me. I was sure i was missing something and didn't even think to look at the triggers. :facepalm:

Looking through the Exorcist rules in Twisting Fates I can't see when I would us the Exorcise spell over the Crossbow. Both have the same Dg line but the Crossbow has Critical Strike with a Ram built into the CB. I could see the point of casting it vs spirits if it wasn't for the fact the Crossbow is magical. So am I missing something or is the Crossbow always a better bet ?

Great feedback guys So the next question is when would be a good date ? I'm thinking september time at earliest it will give me time to build custom boards and increase the amount of local players. I don't want to run anything that will clash with other events and as people have pointed out costs over summer holidays go up for accomidation etc. I really want to make this work and give anyone that makes the trip the best weekend I can *grin* ---------- Post added at 09:49 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:37 AM ---------- I'm glad you posted here Mythic. Well Plymouth to Falmouth has a fairly regular train service looks to be about hour and half trip. By rd its about 70 miles and takes about the same time (decent rds and marrige outside of your own family are fairly new concepts in Cornwall).

Well the venue has a bar and can supply food. With regards to entertainment what would people be looking for ? I can easily arrange a quiz BBQ or both. My background is Pub Managment and I have alot of contacts in the local entertainment scene so bands playing in the evening is do able. The only problem with providing entertainment in the evening is finding something that pleases the majority of people. That is the reason for this thread to find out what people really want from a Malifaux event and arrange it to meet those needs. I really am open to anything if enough people want dancing girls and topless table service I'll do my best to deliver.

I love the game, love the minis and all the fluff. But what really sold me on Wyrd as a company is that when i first posted on the boards both Nathan and Eric welcomed me to the game. I can't think of any other wargames company where the people running the show take the time to read and reply to the communitys posts. It is this personal touch that will keep me playing.
