  1. I´d like to mention Pandora, too. Insidious Madness (up to 3 possible, 4 SS each) Sorrows (3 SS each) Terror Tot Nephilim (3 SS each) Maybe add in Baby Kade which is a good melee fighter for his 6 SS. All those models are rather fast and excell in scenario play. The Terror Tots don´t add anything specific to Pandora outside objective grabbing, though. Pandora 2 Sorrows Baby Kade 3 Insidious Madnesses is a nice 25 SS crew IMO. And as others already have mentioned, Collodi with a bunch of puppets is also something to consider Collodi 3-4 Marionettes 2 Stichted Together 2-3 Wicked Dolls (depends on number of Marionettes) 24-25 SS And is pretty easy to get, just a Collodi boxed set and a clamshell of Stichted Togethers. Though I´d prefer the Pandora list. ZK
  2. I totally overlooked that. Thanks! Yeah, but she´s horrificly expensive... I had a glance on it the other day, but it seems to be rather expensive. Nevertheless, it´s a minion I like the rules of. That´s the reason why I got one. I think the trigger isn´t that hard to pull off if your going for a rather weak opponent and slay him. I already got 2 of them and I´m thinking about getting a third one. There doesn´t seem to be low cost significant models with WP duels, Insidious Madness might be the best one. The problem I see with fast moving Pandora lists is the lack of cheap models. Sure, Sorrows are good, but insignificant. And many of the above listed models give you both speed and WP duels but are rather expensive. I think I have to have a look on these two models. Thanks all! Mabe any further advice? Would you include a shooty model such as trapper or convict gunslinger? These aren´t fast, but their threat range is medium to long ranged and therefore these are able to support a speedy group, aren´t they?
  3. Hi all, I´m recently thinking about a speedy Pandora list with lots of fast models, zooming around the board. Now I like to know your opinions on what minions would fit that playstyle. Models that came to mind are Mature Nephilim Insidious Madness Silurids Terror Tots ? (I´m not sure here) Do ou know any other models that would are rather fast and provide some WP duels to work well with pandora? What´s with outcasts? Any advice is highly welcome. ZK
  4. What do ou think is the best master to run a construct heavy force? Who runs constructs the best? Who offers the highest versatility? Ramos, Hoffman, Leveticus? Or anyone else? ZK
  5. Well Rathnard, you posted some good ideas here! Especially Lillith as your master is a nice idea and personally I´ve never thought about the terror tots as being small little children on their own. Heck, even the Cherub who is some sweet looking child could be used then. I have to go and read through my books now! ZK
  6. Hi all, I like to further increase my Neverborn collection and therefore I thought about using the Dreamer with 2 Teddies. Now I want to know if anyone outside likes to share his experiences with a double Teddy Dreamer list or is at least able to give some advice. I know that the alp bomb has been the most frightening combo for some months now, but I wonder if there is the chance to run the double Teddy list to some success. ZK
  7. Well, I started my Malifaux collection with the exact same goal, ie using Kade, Candy, Teddy and everything else that fits the theme. I don´t know much about the background stories, but my personel "theme" includes the following models: theme: "Come on grandma, let´s play" Zoraida - she´s the grandma Candy and Kade - the little childs who want to have some fun Teddy, stitched together, wicked dolls, Vodoo Doll - well, these are the child´s dolls, ie their toys to play with IMO it looks really nice on the table having some childs accompanied by their "grandma" and playing with their toys - some nightmarish dolls. ZK
  8. Some pretty nice tricks and ideas posted here! Thanks. I now have to have a second look at Zoraida. ZK
  9. Outstanding work, really well done! What´s that rider from? ZK
  10. Am I right assuming that there is no chance to run Ryle and Freikorps Specialist in the same Sonnia crew, because both are members of certain – yet different – special forces? ZK
  11. Hi all, Ryle and Witchling Stalkers are the models from the Guild´s range I like the most and therefore I´m thinking about getting a crew in which these models will be included. Any advice concerning the "right" master for that matter? ZK
  12. Hi all, for my next Malifaux painting project I decided for Guild. The center piece of that project has to be Ryle, which means I need to have some Ryle-friendly masters. Lucius and Hoffman seem to be the best ones to run Ryle. Hoffman simply because there are some good synergies with Ryle. Lucius because I really dig his model, no matter what he does on the battlefield. Well, that being said: how to start with Lucius and Ryle? Should I get the boxed set? Or it is better to get the models as seperate pieces? I´d go the second way if there is no real use for all of the models that are included in the box. I hate to buy models I will never run or paint. In addition, what models work well with Lucius? Anything outstanding here? Thanks for all your help! HTG
  13. Thanks for your answers! Well, I think that I´ll start with Hoffman then. Hoffman, Ryle, some arachnids – which I really dig modelwise, too – should give me some nice forces. Though these models are pretty expensive. ZK
  14. Hi all, important things first: I really dig the Ryle model! It´s just an awesome sculpt, I want to get one, paint it and play it. And here the object of this thread starts to grow... 1. What is a good crew to field Ryle with? 2. Should I get the Luscius boxed set? Lucius is some really cool looking model too and I can easily imagine painting both, Lucius and Ryle. 3. If I go with Lucius and Ryle – what other models do I need? 4. What´s with the well known Guild masters (Perdita, Sonnia, Lady J) – which of them is a good master for Ryle, if any? 5. I´ve already seen the "7 shots from hell" thread regarding Ryle and Hoffman, therefore there is no need to talk about Hoffman againg here. Thanks for all your input! ZK
  15. Something that sprang to mind while reading this thread: You can also scrap build a couple Insidious Madnesses which look like swamp beasts, ie something that comes from the depths of the Bayou to frighten lonely wanderers... And if that is to your taste, you´re free to convert / scrap build some of the other Neverborn minions too. I think about the Nephilims here which can be converted / scrap built to look like inhabitants of the wilderness of the Bayou... Mmhh, the more I think about it, the more I like that idea. ZK
  16. What´s the benefit in fielding a Steamborg Executioner? Not that I´m full of doubts, it´s just that I got the Ramos boxed set because of this model and then I realized that the Steamborg isn´t the best model to run with Ramos... Therefore I like to hear good news about the combo Hoffman / Steamborg, because I hope that Hoffman will revive my hopes for fielding a Steamborg. ZK
  17. This being the Kin Tactics Thread, may I ask you to provide some short rundown of the different Kins? For example, I often read that Rami is highly recommended, but reading through his rules I just can´t see why. Ok, he´s got the best range, but nothing to increase the number of shots. Fracois and Raphael on the other hand seems to have to offer some neat tricks... ZK
  18. Well done job! Though I don´t like the sculpts... ZK
  19. Best advice I´ve seen in this thread is the use of PP Bloody Bradigan. You still have to do some major conversion, but I think it´s well doable. another thing I´m asking myself is why we have to look at a male lelu. I don´t know his background story, but as a modeller and gamer I feel free to use a female lelu. This way I can superbly imagine the use of GW Daemonettes of Slaanesh. http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440043a&prodId=prod1170245 In fact, these are made more or less without a defined sex, meaning they aren´t supposed to be either male or female. Build one with a whip and another one that´s more melee oriented and you´ve got a pretty sweet pair of real twins. IMO these daeomon like creatures fit extremely well with factions name "neverborn". I think `l start this conversion soon. Another idea is the use of GW Witch Elves: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440050a&prodId=prod1490012 The left one makes for a good Lillith. The pose just shows how she lures someone in... Do some conversion on one of the others and you´ve got a sweet looking pair of twins. Though I favour the Daemonettes as a base. HTG
  20. Very nice paint job! Really well done. ZK
