  1. I think that marking every line and zone will get too cluttered to be useful. Simply marking the center line(s) would be sufficient, if you really need to have them marked. Personally, I find that having marked the center point is more then enough to quickly figure out where models are wrt. strategies and schemes.
  2. Great, thank you I only have the book, and was obviously too stoopid to look at the errata page
  3. I've been on the receiving end of a Kirai/Shikome facesplitter many a time before, and suddenly, I got to thinking. Single Minded reads: How does this interact with Kirai summoning a Shikome? The Shikome isn't in play at the time of the nomination as part of Single Minded, and probably haven't even been hired for the crew, so as I understand, Single Minded should'nt "activate". We have always played it so that the Shikome gets to choose it's prey when it enters play, but Single Minded, or any other rule on the Shikome for that matter, doesn't actually support that. I'm getting closer to the opinion that when summoned, the Shikome has to use New Prey to actually get a prey, because of the above wording in Single Minded. Please, could you explain to me where I've got this wrong? In as great detail as you can muster, if you please *grin* Thanks!
  4. The answer is probably pretty simple, but I'm in need of some clarification. Adaptive mind says that you can add one of the two given suits to a the total of a duel that uses the stat in question. The question is as it says in the title: Does the model add that suit after flipping, cheating, using soul stones, or must you declare which suit you use when you declare the action, but before you start flipping for the duel? Thank you!
  5. Not a bad idea, all things considered. But I'm not that impressed with Avatar of Entropy. It seems like his playstyle changes so much that a pre-manifest crew will do almost nothing for the avatar, and a crew built for post-manifestation will do very little for the "small" Leveticus... I've just secured the bits for my (blatantly plagarized) Dead Rider conversion, and the Hooded Rider/Dark Emissary is at home in his blister waiting to be put together!
  6. Cool I'm not one for magnets, and at a tournament this weekend I saw a great conversion for the Dead Rider, so The Dark Emissary is going to be the Hooded Rider!
  7. Guilty as charged :Smug_Puppet1: I have The Dark Emissary from Studio McVey, which I want to use for a Rider, and Dead/Hooded are the only ones that make sense. See, that's what I'm thinking. Night seems like an awesome buff, and although you have to suffer through one turn of Morning to get to Noon, the Hooded Rider seems like he's a pretty good threat piece. Heck, I might just build both, and see what works *grin* Thanks for your input so far!
  8. Good point So just for Levi then *grin*
  9. So, I'm in the beginnings of a Leveticus crew, and have started getting the pieces together for the conversions that I want. I have the model for a single Rider, which will be either the Hooded Rider or Dead Rider, which, in all modesty, is going to be great *grin* , but game-wise, I'm at a loss... The Dead Rider is pretty damned neat, and has some telegraphed uses with Leveticus (especially the Drag Along "trick"), but then the Hooded Rider looks like he might offer a lot of board control, and is also cheaper. So, the question is, what would ya'll do? Also, if the chosen Rider in question could also be taken in a Viktorias crew occasionally? Dead or Hooded?! Thank you
  10. Sure, but isn't that the case for a lot of masters against Kirai? Granted, I've only ever played against her with my Sonnia crew, which may or may not (depending on your opponent actually remembering their own crews rules:Paralyzed_Puppet:) have it easier against Kirais usual suspects, but with that crew the positioning can be hard as well.
  11. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't Necrotic Unmaking be really rough for a Kirai crew? Seishin get one-shot'ed and turned into SPA's. Although she gets them back, you can really rack up the SPA's quick. Naturally, you still have to watch out for the Shikome (gods, I hate that thing!), but if you can hide from it, or force Kirai into a situation where it's not tenable to summon it, I'm not sure you'll have that many problems.
  12. I'm really chuffed that you're doing these experiments, Rath! Bishop is a model that I've wanted to use, especially with Viks, ever since I looked in Book1, but everyone naysaying him put me off ... I really hope that your findings continue in this vein, because then I might start using him without fear of being pointed out and laughed at in my local gaming group
  13. Great report! I like the maps, although the arrows are a bit large cluttering up the overview somewhat.
  14. Sonnia, Avatar of Conflagration And naturally a shout-out to Les for the great videos!
  15. The Executioner seems to be the subject of a lot of these! My strangest kill (or death, since the model that died was mine) was in a game with Sonnia vs. Lilith. The Executioner had been an unholy terror for the previous two turns, taking on two terror tots and a young nephilim (not at once though). He was at one Wd at that point, and the Young Nephilim chose to hit the Witchling Stalker that was in the mêlée as well. Well, the Stalker explodes, killing the Executioner who uses Slow to Die to kill the now severely wounded Young Nephilim, and then heals up with Love the Job. I guess the Lilith player took offense to that somehow, because he then transpositioned the Executioner on top of a 7" tall building, without any stairs/chutes/ladders to get him down. But that wasn't enough, so a Mature Nephilim flew up to him (or the floor below, but enough to be able to reach him) and used Wing Buffet to push the hapless Executioner off the edge of the building. Two severe damage flips later, and my previously impervious Executioner was just a red spot on the ground *grin*
  16. The only thing that I can see as being wrong, is that a model can only ever take damage from one blast generated by a single attack, even though they are under several. So the models under the blasts take 2 or 3 damage, depending on the severity of the initial damage But otherwise, it looks legit.
  17. Yikes, that was snappy! Thanks, Sketch!
  18. Hi! I have a quick question about the Reflect Magic trigger and Obey. The situation: Hamelin the Ratcatcher casts Obey on a Witchling Stalker. The Stalker resists Obey, and gets a :tomes in its resist total, and declares the Reflect Magic trigger. Reflect Magic states that the caster becomes affected by the spell, as if it were the target. Since Hamelin is not a master, then he can be affected. But the question is: Who controls Hamelin during the action granted by obey? Hamelins controller or the Witchling Stalkers controller? Thanks!
  19. I think that the Dreamer is much less of an issue as of the latest errata. I wouldn't know from experience, but it seems to me that you'll be just fine using Leveticus against the Dreamer, and not have to worry about getting murderized turn one as "before"
  20. Hi! So, with the Egg Hauler and War Rooster, I want to try my hand at Gremlins! I'm thinking a pig heavy list, but I have no idea how to put one together... So I'm turnin' to the mighty corps of Gremlin-nerds on here to give me a helping pigs foot! So'mer is a must (and his Avatar would be preferable as well), and I'm guessing that a few Skeeters will be very useful as well? Other than that, I'll have to include at least the SlopEgg Hauler and Warpig Rooster! Then I'm thinking a Hog Whisperer is a good idea, and that some piglets will be fitting. So something like this? Outcasts Crew - 35 - Scrap Som'er Teeth Jones -- 8 Pool + Som’er and Peaches, Avatars of Indulgence [2ss] Hog Whisperer [5ss] Piglet [3ss] Piglet [3ss] Slop Hauler [4ss] Warpig [8ss] But after this, I'm out of ideas. I have 10 SS left. Skeeters, Bayou Gremlins, a Taxidermist (maybe? I love the model). What would I need to complete the madness, in a way as to be just a bit useful on the table as well? I hope you can help me out here, ya'll!
  21. Hi! Avatars really speak to me, in the way of fluff, and I have wanted to field the Dreamer for quite some time, and Avatar of Imagination seems like it's fun to play, albeit quite a change from the usual Dreamer tactics (even with the recent errata). I'm afraid that I don't have a lot to offer in the way of experiences myself, but I am wondering if there are anyone out there that do? Thank you!
  22. Lookin' sharp in that pin-striped suit!
  23. Good points, especially about the Special Forces limitations. I'm also very much interested in Lazarus. It looks almost like the perfect minion for Leveticus, but from my PoV that's just theoryfauxing; I haven't actually fielded him yet
  24. Thank you for all the advice so far, Lucidicide! Currently, I'm thinking that Necropunks do quite well as objective grabbers (Watchers are probably better, but I'm not a fan of them (maybe if I could convert the model into something resembling The Winged Beast from 9... hmmm )), but I was also looking towards Crooligans. The Mist seems like a good idea to keep Waifs safe-ish behind it, and they're resonably fast when going for objectives and interacts. Does anyone have any experiences with the Crooligans with Leveticus?
