  1. Only a couple of days left! Get them before they go! Dom
  2. Hi there, I thought I'd post these here as I'd like these models to go to someone who appreciates them! I bought them all way back (before my two kids showed up!) and unfortunately I don't think I'm ever going to get round to painting them. They are: Dead Justice Box (Gen Con 2011) - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273435263055 Nightmare Teddy (Gen Con 2011)- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273435308761 Miss Demeanor (Gen Con 2011) - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273436937169 Miss Pack - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273436951368 Pandora Avatar (WYR4001) - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273436985943 They're all on eBay and have 6-7 days left as of posting. Hopefully someone here will get them, they're all beautiful models. All the best, Dom
  3. Same, Both of mine were the same credit card and both went from ordered to processed on the same day. #30 apart, one's shipped and the other hasn't. Odd, but I'm not too worried, I'm sure they'll get here eventually. Cheers, Dom
  4. Ok, so let's do the old switcheroo on this thread. What's the earliest order that HASN'T completed? I'll dive straight in with my #8343 Justice, Avatar of Balance Lady Justice - Alternate Sculpt Malifaux Expansion Rule Book - Twisting Fates Perdita Ortega - Alternate Sculpt Rasputina - Alternate Sculpt Sonnia, Avatar of Conflagration Sonnia Criid - Alternate Sculpt Let's see if we can find any commonality in what's holding these older orders up! I feel just like Columbo! Dom
  5. Chin up fella! It's 200 past mine and that's not shipped either. Think it's a definite case of sit tight! Cheers, Dom
  6. Hmmm, #8305 shipped, #8343 still at processed if anyone is interested. #8305 was just the nightmare stuff, #8343 was a load of the alts, avatars and the book. Make of that what you will! Cheers, Dom
  7. Hi there, You're right, there isn't any "weathering" etc. on these and it is intentional. My aim with these models was to get a crew on the table (fairly) quickly so I didn't go to the level of micro detailing. I have used those techniques before on some of my more "showpiece" models. I suppose the best example is my bloodbowl ogre which can be seen here: http://www.coolminiornot.com/107957 My painting style has always erred toward the neat comicy style rather than the more earthy realistic stuff. Not that either is better, just different! All of the above said, I'm currently working on a Peacekeeper that WILL have quite a lot of weathering and battle damage on it. With models like that, that have large flat surfaces, I find it nice to add something to keep the eye interested (same reason the exe's belly is hairy. It looked too bland without). Hope that answers the question. Thanks to everyone for the comments, they're really appreciated. Cheers, Dom
  8. Been a while since I updated this! I finished these guys tonight, so here are the pics. The photos are a bit rubbish, overly blue for some reason, so sorry for that, but hopefully you get the idea. Peacekeeper's up next! Cheers, Dom
  9. Not Malifaux, rather what has been keeping me from painting my Guild of late! My entry for the Salute 2011 painting comp. Didn't make the cut, but there were some really good minis there so I'm not too gutted. Was a joy to paint, lovely detail. Cool, hope you like it. Any comment or criticism is really appreciated. Here's the CMON link too for those that do that. http://www.coolminiornot.com/276512 Thanks, Dom
  10. What's the green stuff on there? Meant to ask you on the opend day but forgot. Is is just litterally green stuff or do you mix it with sand etc? Looks the wrong shade to me, unless you go with a very "yellow heavy" mix? Cheers, Dom
  11. Happy birthday dude! Good day for it 3 years my senior. I feel old, god knows what you must feel like! :bawling: Have a good one. I'm of to Heston Blumenthal's new place in London tonight with the wife. Just another 7 hours of work to get through......... Cheers, Dom
  12. Not sure yet, I've got 2 Guild Gaurd and a Peacekeeper to do first. So many toys, so little time! ) Thanks again for the game. Looking forward a rematch at some point in the future. Cheers, Dom
  13. Yep, good day indeed! Was great to put some faces to names and also to get a lesson in some of the finer points of Freikorps! Cheers Ratty, Roll on the tourney! Dom
  14. Here's the stage-by-stage as promised. Photo taken every half hour. Hopefully it shows how I go about things a bit. Any questions just ask. Cheers, Dom
  15. Bashed out a Govenor's Proxy this evening. 4 hours from bare metal to finished, based and varnished. Pretty pleased with him for the time he took. I took WIP shots every 30mins too, so I'll compile them and post them tomorrow. I'm itching to start a new crew, but I still have 2 Guild Gaurd and a Peacekeeper to go for the Guild before I rest them for a while, so expect pics of those soon. Hope you like him! Cheers, Dom
  16. All the freikorps models have the rule that states "If you hire them as mercs, you can only hire friekorps" I just need a bit of clarification on that. Does it mean that you can only ever run them as a friekorps only force or does it just pertain to other factions hiring them? I was wondering because I was thinking of putting a Viks force together and some of the freikorps fit really well with but I wouldn't want to use them exclusively. Or does it mean that I'd have to take them as a special forces section wth Von Schill? Ideally I'd like a librarian and a traper to go with some Ronin and a Gunslinger. Is that possible? Thanks in advance for the help, Dom
  17. http://www.ryman.co.uk/1228053865/Cathedral-Laminator-A4/Product This laminator and these sleeves: http://www.ryman.co.uk/1503080462/Fellowes-Laminating-Pouch-A4-125-Micron-Pack-of-25/Product TBH, was really dubious about the quality of the laminator and the thicknes of the pouches (being too thin), but it's just awesome. Works perfectly. If you leave it on for too long it can get a bit tired and a card may come out a bit fuzzy. If so just shut it down for a while, then after a rest fire it up again and run the misty card through again and it'll be sorted. Also, final tip. Just be ready to catch the card as it come throuh the wheels. On a couple of my first attempts it got caught and rucked everything up. Easily solved by running the card through a couple of times, but best avioded to start with. Hope this helps! Dom
  18. Thans for the response, but no, it doesn't help really. Both Guildgaurd and Austringers didn't get v2 cards so your comment isn't applicable. Others have stated that the Austringer card does state "Guardsmen" though, so I must have missed it. I'll look again when I'm home from work. Cheers, Dom
  19. Really? I thought I'd looked everywhere on the card for it to list Gaurdsmen. Where abouts is it? I was assuming it'd be listed in the same place as Construct or Woe etc. Thanks for the answers, Dom
  20. Hi there, Got my shiny new Rules Manual yesterday and have to say I'm super chuffed with it! As I understand (and please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) this is supposed to supersede the errata as everything that came up since the release of Book 1, and was previously in the errata'd, has now been addressed. Super cool! Makes my bag a lot lighter going to games. One point though. I played a game at the weekend using both Austringers and Guardsmen. Now I know Austringers had the "Guardsmen" ability from the errata but there seems to be no mention of it in the new book. Also, there were no v2 cards for Austringers so I could completely understand my opponent raising issue when I tried to cast a Cordon from a Guardsman to an Austringer. I said it was errata'd and he said, doesn't the Rules manual supersede the errata? Can't fault his logic. Is the intention for Austringers to lose the Guardsmen ability? Thanks for clarification? Dom
  21. Got the green light on his so should be able to be there for most of the day! Looking forward to it and especially meeting some of the forum regulars! See you Sat! Dom
  22. Another quick update! A couple of Austringers finished for a campaign day tomorrow: Bit of a rush to finish them, but I think they turned out ok. And also, a group shot of Sonnia and her 40SS retinue. Hope you like them! Cheers, Dom
  23. Oooh, Could potentially bring Sonnia to this for a burn session! Nedd to visit my Nan (in St.Neots) in the coming weeks so this could be a good "two birds, one stone" affair. Cheers, Dom
  24. Hadn't managed to do anything for a couple of weeks due to a pretty frantic time at work, but finished this off yesterday: Didn't love painting this model, which is odd as it's probably my favourite Guild sculpt from the first book. Lots of large flat areas. I suppose I could have gone to town with the freehand, but I need this and 2 Austringers done for next weekend so it was a "get it done" scenario. Anyway, hope you like it. Dom
