the pigapult is perfect for taking out both waifs in a single turn, one piglet gets you 3 shots with the pigapult that ignore LOS. It really helps prevent Levi killing himself each turn as you can out-activate him and drop the waifs after his whole crew has gone.

@marcuzi - yes the mozzies do damage each other, so you have to make sure they are out of each other's range

So what list have you been running? Do you use all the kin and young Lacroix? or do you mix in slop haulers and regular gremlins too?

I was curious about something with the guild hounds. I think it is strange that they don't have the guardsman characteristic. From the playtester perspective: was this intentional? I just thought it strange that the guild special force couldn't take the hounds.

I like the idea of pigapulting Pere Ravage into the heart of the enemy. if he dies on the landing, he damages all around him. if he lives he can still cause some damage and the opponent has to deal with him. But, before he deals with him, he has to move his stuff away or it will get damaged when pere dies. So you have ample opportunity to slop pere, and continue on withRami.

I believe she can only join crews containing gremlins,kin, pigs, and vermin and then only if she was not the master. if she leads the crew, it can only contain gremlins and kin.

forgive me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Ophelia can take piggies of any type if she leads the crew.

Why wouldn't the tot (or young)get a blood counter? the nephilim's ability generates the blood counter, not the rat.

OK, if I'm reading right, I only need to sacrifice a pig at the beginning of the pigapults activation, not each action. So I get up to 3 shots with only a single pig. Is this correct?

haven't seen the summoning abilities, but isn't it fairly easy to get the rats through summons? If they're just going to be there to sac anyway it may be decent. I wan't looking for a broken or overpowered combo, just a way to add something that the crew wouldn't normally have. what happens if I spend the third turn getting the blood token from the opposing crew? if I use the mature spell at the beginning of round 4 do I still have a 1 and 0 action left or do i have 2 (1) and a 0 action left as it is now a new model (I don't have my book with me to see the wording to know if it is a sac and summon.) Jay

I just had a thought about master hamelin. With the ease of gaining rats for him I thought something along thsese lines may be interesting: Hire a terror tot, feed it a rat on the first turn gain blood token, grow. repeat on second turn. now you have a mature nephilim for the 4SS out-of-faction tot cost and the cost of 2 summond rats (or purchased if they are dirt cheap, but I doubt they are only 1SS, I haven't gotten my book yet.) Of course this may all be illegal, as I don't have the exact wording of Hamelin's purchasing abilities. And, I may have missed something on the Nephilim's abilities but I think it works. Does anyone think this would be a good tactic? or are Matures not so good without Lillith's guidance?

@Wodschow I was actually refering to the Desperate Mercenary as an excellent Killjoy Delivery system, you probably don't want to pay a SS (at least not more than 1) to keep him around anyway so he'd be great to rush in and drop a Killjoy into someones face.

Damn, I love the sound of these outcasts. I'm definetely going to expand beyond the gremlins into Hamelin and Levi atleast (probably Viks too). The mercenaries sound like an ideal Killjoy delivery system, and I love the new levi beatstick. Hamelin sounds like all kinds of cool, I like how he gets to draw if your opponent cheats fate. And of course the rat swarm will be much feared (and maligned). Happy, Happy.....Joy, Joy

What? no gremlins? Looks good though, congrats. I am just getting my crew ready for the brush, hopefully real life will cooperate to make it happen.

OK I'll be the first to comment. While I applaud you for attempting to light source the box, spirits, and flames, (I personnaly won't even try it,) to me it looks more like mistakes than light. I think the issue is it is too heavy. It needs to be done with very thin paint and built up in layers over time. That also leads me to say that it appears you need to thin out your paint more. Also, shading and highlighting will do more to improve the models than attempting light sourcing. Your skin tones are flat, especially on Pandi. But, this is not only a negative post. I really like where you are going with these pieces. I think you have the start of some good models there. a little more practice, thinner paint, and some more shading/highlighting will really help. Good luck, and continue the good work.

OK, I'm anxiously awaiting the return of my ninja shopper and I just have to ask a few questions about Hamelin. Can he now hire unlimited ht1 models from any faction? (hopefully without the +1 SS) does he have his own totem? I was thinking that a primordial magic would be awesome for him (especially if it can be bought for cost instead of +1 SS) did they add any really interesting stuff or is he pretty much the same with just minor tweaks?

Greetings, I'd just thought I'd drop in an introduce myself. I'm a long-time gamer who has just recently picked up Malifaux. I'm really liking the outcast stuff and I have a large gremlin crew (soon to get larger with Ophelia and co.) I'm also interested in Hamelin as a master (hordes of evil kids sounds fun). I am living in the Raleigh area, and I have yet to play my first game (I have limited gaming time, which is take up by Blood bowl right now) but I can honestly say, this is the most excited I have been about a game system. I can't wait to play my first game(s). Jay
