  1. Nope... But while we wait we can troll away...
  2. Also, When I was in middle school I decided to use a cheap blue primer to prime my space marines and well, the paint went on really thick, even with just one pass. That's what I am afraid of.
  3. Well then, Being From the Northeast, and being uber humid and hot. Can anyone point me to a tutorial for Paint on primers?
  4. Yeah I used white primer and it is pretty hot here... Damn... well that's a bummer. No simple green lying around. Looks like I'm not starting painting them for a couple more days :dong:
  5. So tonight I primed Seamus, his ladies, some dogs, Sebastian, Killjoy, and the Copycat. When the primer dried, I noticed it hadn't gone on smooth, it looks and feels well... dusty, and rough. This has never happened to me while priming before so can someone please tell me what happened and how to salvage my models? Thanks,
  6. For NYC, Since I grew up there, I'm currently going off to school in a couple weeks so not so great timing. BUT! Check out the Complete Strategist. It's on 33rd right off of 5th ave I believe, and call them up, they have a club that plays every thursday, and last time I was there Malifaux was picking up.
  7. Gah! Why does Gen Con need to be so far away Q_Q. Can't wait to see more picks Eric!
  8. Hey, are you still running Games on tuesdays?
  9. Thanks for all the great feedback! My models come in the mail today. So stoked.
  10. Fun stuff. I'm just getting back into the hobby of miniatures and painting in general. When I was in middle school I had an army of space marines and well, they're a little chunky. So I stripped them using watered down simple green, (takes two weeks but it works really well didn't strip any detail or glue) and Now I'm using a couple of bottles of VGC I picked up to try and teach myself how to not suck terribly at painting before I attempt putting my brush on Seamus or any of his ladies. So far I think that is the greatest curse and blessing of Malifaux. Not so many miniatures to paint, but more places to see mess ups. Biggest lesson I've learned so far is that for your model to look awesome you need have a lot of patience and be willing to sit there and do 5, 6 coats of thinned paint before you get it looking awesome. Also, 3 year old boltgun metal is thick... really freaking thick...
  11. Word! Thanks guys! Now for an uber noob question... any tips on keeping paints thin so they go on smoother....
  12. The title pretty much says it all. How do I layer and blend black and white cloth? Thanks in advance!
  13. Awesome Zombie punks. *cue Where Eagles Dare - Misfits*
  14. Thanks! Hope I can find someone.
  15. o.O Awesome, I currently reside in Chatham, NY.
  16. Hey guys, name's Danny, So a couple of weeks ago I was in my LGS stoked to start a new Space Wolves army, when I asked the dude working what that cool looking book with the hanging guy on the front was (is). Of course, he said it was Malifaux. He also said that all of their Vet gamers were jumping on it, and supposedly they rarely go for anything new. Intrigued, I asked him to tell me a little bit about the game. He had me at "It has no dice". So the whole Space Wolves idea went out the window right then and there. I bought the rulebook, and headed home to crack it open. I plowed through the rulebook, drooling at the models and well, pretty much everything in it. Until I realized something. I have no idea how to play Malifaux or where to start :wtf:. Can anyone help me? My friend and I just Purchased our first models, and we would love to play with our investments ahaha. On a side note, I've also re-routed all of my terrain materials from Warhammer and Warhammer 40k to Malifaux, and am in the midst of building a 3-4 modular city of the downtown area, with a full sized sewer to go along with it. (pics to come in the other thread).
