  1. Seriously, super congrats to Wyrd for pretty much finishing off a release line. GW has a staff of what now? . . . and can't even finish off a product line for a single army release out of their games . . . . and I don't count their discontinued games, cause they just finished and dropped them. So my hat is off to you fine folks.
  2. Haha, you me both. I've just had to borrow a friends to get a glimpse of everything. Waiting on the ole paycheck to pick up my own.
  3. Then just leave up that ruling for organizers of events and leagues. If your opponent is fine with you using such tools, then go right ahead. I know most judges will not let such devices in. So the argument for that can pretty much stop now.
  4. Can she use the toolkit? and can the bonus to Tomes be given to those other than the master it is bound to? I don't own book 2 yet, so I'm not sure.
  5. I stand by this opinion. I would like to learn to keep track of everything going on, but if Malifaux there is just so many things going on at once it can be hard to add one more things to the list to memorize. . . . . but getting a decent grasp on keeping track what has been played and what may be coming up would prob make Levi an even worse opponent.
  6. Not sure I'd be really pumped to play against someone who after every card flip is keying in information to try to predict the odds of what is coming next. There comes a point where you have to leave part of the game up to a battle of the brains and the brains alone, and leave home all the "helpful" tools.
  7. Off the top of my head, it gives Ramos an extra Tome to casting, so he meets his double tome requirements on certain spells, it can repair constructs, and I believe can also control detonate other constructs just like Ramos. It is much weaker, and can't fight, but it Links to Ramos, and with all the options it adds, I'll take it over Stoke any day.
  8. It was myself. I haven't picked up my own copy of book 2 yet, so other than the INCREDIBLE new totem for Ramos, I haven't really absorbed everything else. The electrical creation is incredible to lock up weak zones, and just watch your foe stress and worry when you summon it, then move it over his models to put it in the middle of his stuff. He doesn't want to blow it up, cause it explodes, but he wants to move his stuff away before you blow it up, and since it has companion: Ramos, that will be happening very soon. Just proxy him it and give it a whirl, I promise you won't be upset by his performance. Alyce is steep, but that control card bonus is huge.
  9. That is the exact list I've been running for the past couple games. I think you paid one to much for Johan though, I believe he gets a 1ss discount due to Ramos be a M&SU member.
  10. I agree with most of what the above poster said. He is a solid Master, but takes some getting used to. Once you get the hang of him though, he is a blast to play, with your minions blowing up all over the place. I would also highly suggest snagging an Electrical Creation, cause he is just an amazing model and awesome summon. More spiders, cause once that toolkit comes out, we'll be bringing them out even crazier than before. Some Ramos players swear by Rusty Alyce, I just started to use her, and I'm starting to see why. Having 2 extra control cards is incredibly powerful. If you aren't convinced by Johan, then I can also suggest a Convict Gunslinger, which is one of the best models in the game for the points value, and gives you solid ranged attack. I don't use the Steamborg, as I think he costs way to much for what he does, and always tends to run away from my crew and die by his lonesome on the other half of the board. I would suggest either more spiders, or Joss for the killing power. December Acolytes are also nice models to consider to give Ramos some mobility on the board. Feel free to ask whatever, but welcome to an incredible game.

  12. Great to hear Eric, haha, I do understand everyone wants so much and that there are only so many hours in the day. Just knowing you guys are working on it is fine by me.
  13. I'm not sure if this was brought up before I was wondering if there are plans for Organized Play support for Malifaux? Possible league events as well. Any others thing this would be awesome, or have ideas for prizes?
  14. Welcome to the fold sir, you are jumping into a fantastic game.
  15. You are correct sir, she isn't. Slight slip of the brain. Popping a bunch of controlled detonations (especially when the Tools come out) can help build up your scrap counters, cause I believe they just kill the models.
  16. You could also maybe just have Alyce scavenge . . . . could really slow the group down, but with all the new schemes and strategies . . . . ya never know.
  17. Do any of you guys try to make SPA's with Alyce, or have you ever made enough to pop a DE? I have Levi as my second master so I have all the stuff on hand, I just wonder if anyone has tried to go that route with Ramos instead of mass spiders.
  18. Geeeez, I can't wait to get my hands on this box.
  19. I think you guys did an amazing job on making that happen.
  20. Convict Gunslinger . . . . one of the best valued minis in the game, and provides amazing ranged potential to a Ramos list.
  21. Yeah, I'm in this game for the long haul, cause it is brilliant. I'm glad they are so involved with their community and are working steadily to tweak and fix everything. Congrats to them for the game taking off well, and as long as they keep this a wonderful game . . . then take all the time you need to make it work. Just don't take to much time on those new stat cards . . . I want my fixed Levi :thumb:
  22. It will work out just fine then, just always keep the main focus of your strategy on the top of your mind. I can't wait til Levi no longer gets "Slow" every time he comes back.
  23. Thanks for all the advice, I played a game yesterday without the December Acolytes and dropped a spider and subbed in the Steamborg. He actually performed amazing. I've given this guy a bad rep for a while now, and I think I just played him very badly when I first started out. I will now be using the big fella more often in the future. Now gotta play around with those little ice gamin.
  24. Yeah, keep in mind if the person you are playing against will most like have graverobbers, then you can build your list accordingly. I tend to run Killjoy in my Levi lists, with the Necropunks running around snagging board objectives, and if the other player kills them, then they can slow to die into Killjoy fun. I do second the idea of not taking so many SPAs at start, and just making them throughout the game, you need to take more models that can hold and capture objectives, as again, this is what wins the game. You can easily have both Levi and Alyce just use the first turns to scavenge for scrap counters and use those for SPAs on your second turn. Levi is a ton of fun to play, and I'm sure once they finally revise all of his rules on the new cards he'll be a lot more fun and easier to understand.
