  1. Also bare in mind when you take plastic surgery on McMourning it will make nearby ice constructs undead, allowing the abra cadaver trigger to go off from expunge, nothing better than turning an ice golem into a flesh construct,or an ice gamin for that matter, raspy is one match up where the nurses aren't THAT good as the paralyze trigger will be a bust against all that frozen heart.
  2. I play in a pretty small meta in the UK, just a couple of friends but were looking to get more friends into the game and for starter games I'm using my guild to demo because i feel i can pull my punches easier and there's less rule's for new players to keep track of. I wouldn't dream of using my neverborn against a players first game and my friends that play have banned me from running resser against new players On the differences between UK and US players I've noticed a few trends, one of them being the difference between Lynch players, personally i always use Expert Cheater for mind games fun and have ALWAYS found it worth the SS. From what I've heard its rarely used in the US.
  3. I own a fair few crew spanning guild, outcast and resser but when I absolutely, positively have to inflict considerable amounts of psychological damage on an opponent I pick Lynch Where to begin... I came to Malifaux from other dice based mini games and have learned that despite statistical averages the dice are never on my side, with Lynch the cards don;t have a choice I WILL get a high card in my hand I WILL have both jokers pop up as my deck cycles so damned fast and I will NEVER be on the sure end of loosing an opposed duel because I can BS my opponent with what card I'm cheating. Not to mention the max damage you could get from Final debt was so high Wyrd felt the need to erratta it to once per turn. His pistol will routinely have whatever trigger you need due to your card draw. I cant beat Lady J in Melee but sure as hell I'll have the right card to trigger squee and a soulstone to tank the damage. Also Lets not forget Lynch is only half the master, using the Hungering darkness to jack control of an ice golem and pound its little friends to oblivion? oh and with the right upgrade it comes back from the dead so long as a brilliance enemy model dies within 6" of Lynch, which is not hard to accomplish with illuminated, Beckoners and Huggy. I will say Lynch's biggest weakness to me is his crew construction tends to be consist of expensive soulstone models leaving him often outnumbered, in exchange you almost never get control hand screwed and get a free henchman to do the damage heavy lifting Lynch lacks.
  4. Thanks for the speedy response
  5. Sorry if this question has come up before but I've started using McMourning and Seamus and both have fair considerable healing abilities, can they heal wounds above their wound total e.g. Seamus take 1 damage heals 2 due to a failed WP check via feat of fear does he get 2 wounds and go over his total or just the one back to his starting total?
  6. Its like some kind of... Necromantic veterinarian.... Yes every McMourning list must have a crazy name, for example, my lawyers McMourning guild poison list is lovingly names the Medical Malpractice Suit... Its fun to use McMourning.
  7. Let me tell you a story of two guys getting into malifaux 1st edition. One boy chose the viktorias, the other pandora. This led to cruelly unfair matches whereby on at least one occasion a viktoria decapitated her sister before proceeding to lop her own head off.... yeah After a while the two guys returned to Malifaux in its 2nd edition one boy again chose the new vik box, the other chose lady justice (And would consider to buy a lot of additional crews, seriously I have an addiction....) and for the first half few games proceeded to watch as the models he lovingly assembled and painted were summarily sliced to pieces without having so much as an activation between slaughters. Those first few games were an education. My friend still plays the vikkies much to my annoyance though our win loss record has returned to a more equal footing. Let me be clear I can claim to now quite easily encircle and annihilate the hated sisters however they are still an annoyance to play. 1. Its really hard to keep track off initially which sister is which. 2. The teleporting madness for the first half dozen or so games requires a LOT of card reading, this doesn't help with point 1 3. The vikkies are very self centred masters, this is great due to independence from the crew, this is bad when it comes to adding models to that crew that have synergy that aren't Vanessa BTW another friend has recently been borrowing crews to try out the game before he buys in, made a good account of himself using Lady J vs my Lynch crew, then got hammered into the floor twice in a row using ortegas vs the vikkies. Much like Leveticus there a bit much for beginner games in my opinion....
  8. Probably a dumb question but what is and is not counted as a Guardsmen?, because my guild guard card don't have the trait and I would have assumed they were guardsmen what with them being, well, guards, who are at least in one case men....
  9. Thanks, I've filled out the form, just didn't know what the packer initials were and thought it was necessary.
  10. Hi, I know there is a contact form for mispack's but since I lack the information the form asks for I'm not sure how to continue. Earlier today I bought the Bound by Law box from my LGS, Firestorm Games in Cardiff, while the cards and number of bases is correct in the box, instead of the sprue for the guild guard I appear to have a sprue for a plastic Teddy, if someone could advise what I should do next I would be grateful...
  11. Well I'm hoping to get the box from dark sphere and I have no idea what stat cards come in it as there's no outward difference between the boxes as far as I can tell. Thanks for the quick reply
  12. Ok I really want to pick lynch up as a 2e master and I have a Pandora crew from 1st ed, are both Pandora and lynch in the Neverborn arsenal deck or is lynch JUST in 10 thunders? Thanks in Advance.
  13. Well me and my buddies have started gravitating back towards malifaux now that 2nd edition is a solid thing (that and my best mates stubborn refusal to go anywhere near what GW has done to his beloved Imperial Guard) we had our first game, his Viks box vs my Lady J box and we got into a slight dispute over the pine box. 2nd turn I box a viktoria with a marshal hoping said marshal will stay alive long enough to get the vikky as far away from the rest of her crew as possible, his next activation his other vikky slots my marshal, viktoria one comes out of the box fair enough. Everything's clear so far i spend an activation running damage control, he then takes an activation with the previously boxed Vikky. We're not entirely sure whether she can activate this turn. To make it clearer, Viktoria gets boxed before she has a chance to activate, later that turn the marshal carrying her dies, she unburries, does she get to activate later this turn? Thanks in advance
  14. Theodore T Bear, The rogue Teddy who struck out for himself when he realised that his neverborn masters just used him as a babysitter. Once he comes tot he realisation he tries to live a normal life free of neverborn and see's the exploitation on constructs around him and decides to form a crew of constructs to fight for equal construct rights!! Yeah kinda influenced by a story I wrote over in the writing room But come on, a Outcast crew led by a Teddy master, ye can get no better,
  15. This seems fitting for my gal, Pandora [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQTaj5Fcps4[/ame]
