Greetings, I am looking to get into the game soon and by doing so will probably start by picking up the Lady J starter box and was looking to get another one as well. This way I can easily demo it for my friends/gaming group and try to sell them on the game. So I was looking for some input from anyone that might run demos on what might be an interesting and fun companion box to get to oppose the Lady J box.

From One Noob to Another : Welcome Aboard! I second the noob primers as well. They helped me out when I was first looking into the game. I'm in the same boat. I have been reading the rulebook and can't quite decide what crew(s) to start with. I like too many of the models in this game ( both aesthetically and rules-wise).

Those are some awesome boards! I agree with everyone else that they would be a blast to play on.

Games Plus Isn't much of a problem for me. Weekends usually work best but I can make Mondays work as well. Keep me/us posted on when you might make it up there again.

Any Demo's going on in the Chicago area any time soon?

Hey folks I have loved Wyrd's mini's for some time and now with Malifaux being out for a few months I hear nothing but good things. I hear there is pretty good group of players out here in Chicago and am thinking of getting into the game. Any tips for a newbie? I plan on picking up the rulebook soon and seeing where that takes me. At the moment I love the look of Rasputina & Seamus.
