  2. Have a brand new dead justice set - check my thread
  3. Hi all, I have been digging around in my masses of models and found quite a lot of Malifaux I simply do not need/use anymore. All of the below have no paint, have been cleaned up nicely and placed on bases unless stated otherwise - so pretty much brand new! I cannot guarantee which models come with cards or not as a lot are either Mk1 cards or purchased before the Mk2 cards so take it as they don't have cards - if they do its a bonus! UK Only unless stated, PayPal only in all cases - FREE Postage on everything in the UK (pm for EU/US prices). 4. Hi everyone, we have had quite a few questions regarding the tournament structure and how it all works - hopefully this will help explain it all! http://www.massacon.com/?p=224 Copied Text: We have had quite a few questions regarding how we are dealing with the events that will be happening at MassaCON 2014. Hopefully this post will help explain our approach. We didn't want people coming to our event and ending up not being able to play their favourite systems due to reasons like: Incorrect allocation of tables/tournaments for system popularity Not enough tournaments throughout the weekend Different system events constantly running at the same time - meaning having to choose one system or the other. We have spent a lot of time working the scheduling out and how to accommodate everyone who attends in the systems we have chosen. Our VIP signup list had a huge number of people on it and gave us a great amount of data for system allocation initially. Currently the spread looks like this (from most popular to least): 1. Hordes/Warmachine 2. Malifaux 3. X-Wing 4. Bushido 5. Mantic Games 6. Other Systems With this data, we plan to make sure that the allocation of space/time and events will be properly balanced in these areas. Not only this, we are also offering 6 ticket types for each system. What that effectively does is if you - for instance - choose the Hordes/Warmachine ticket, you will have priority sign up for those events. The MassaCON ticket still allows you to play any system events, free play, mini tournaments, etc over the 3 days. This simple system we have in place before the event should ensure that everyone attending will get to play what events they want, when they want and more importantly enjoy the entire MassaCON experience. What Types of Events will be Offered? We have made sure we have the best possible people in charge of each system. Our tournaments will be run by experienced members of the community over the weekend to ensure you enjoy every second of your time at MassaCON. As mentioned above, we are currently still working out the splits/allocation dependant on ticket sales in system preferences - but below is a very short overview of some of the events we have planned currently (please note this is not a final list): Hordes Warmachine 3 Man Team Event Doubles Event Standard SR2014 Events Hardcore Events Invitational Sunday (each other event winner(s) will qualify for this along with winners of Blood & Oil, Welsh Open & Frontlines) Malifaux Team Event Doubles Event Standard Tournament Play Invitational Sunday (dependant on Malifaux popularity at MassaCON) X Wing Regional Event(s) Multiple Heat Tournaments Bushido Standard Tournament Play Campaign Orientated Event Throughout the Weekend Mantic Games Dreadball Tournament Play Kings of War Tournament Play (with possible Sunday Finals) Deadzone Other Systems Godslayer Tournament Zombicide Late Night Antics Magic the Gathering Drafts/Sealed Events throughout the weekend Along with all of the above we will have demo tables, free play area and a host of mini events throughout the weekend for everyone to enjoy! I hope this post gives everyone a clearer picture of what we are planning for MassaCON 2014 - and we cannot wait to see you there!
  5. Hi everyone! We will be releasing the tickets at an Early Bird Special price of £33 to the VIP List members early this coming week - after a week they will go on sale at the general release price of £38. So what are you waiting for? Sign up for FREE to the VIP Waiting list and get ready to experience a brand new UK convention in its first year! Also for your information the person we have in charge of the Malifaux event team will be - Clousseau (David Brown)
  6. We have a lot of Malifaux players already on the VIP Waiting list through the site - response has been crazy! Keep it up guys, more announcements on the Malifaux side of things shortly.
  7. MassaCON - A Specialist Gaming Convention Where: UK, Stockport - The North West Gaming Centre Date: 6th - 8th June 2014 Site: http://www.massacon.com Twitter: @MassaCON Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/massacon We are pleased to announce that a brand new convention is starting up in the UK. MassaCON is a specialist gaming convention focusing on tournament play and supporting a wide variety of systems. Throughout the weekend you will have access to a custom build gaming hall dedicated to 24 hour gaming over the 3 days. Along with this you will be able to compete for some amazing prizes and trophies within your system and see if you have what it takes to be crowned a MassaKING. For Malifaux Specifically - We are featuring Malifaux as one of our premier systems at the event - meaning the support will be excellent throughout the 3 days. We have a multitude of competitions planned in various formats to make sure everyone gets their fill! We also have some 'as yet unannounced' items that we cannot spoil just yet... Tickets are not available yet - however on our website http://www.massacon.com we have a VIP Waiting list form for people to fill out. We will offer those on the waiting list tickets first before the public so if you are interested please make sure you sign up - as we expect places to fill quickly. Get ready for one of the best weekends in wargaming the UK has ever seen.
  8. Problem is, if all the good players opt out, the system becomes pointless. The current H/WM list is a pretty sore sight now that all he best players have left. However seems Malifaux is so small I doubt it will matter. I do come back again to rubbing peoples noses in it. Have to be careful when your a good gamer / community voice - it is the responsibility of the better gamers to help the others for the enjoyment of all.
  9. Oh and my suggestion however was to make the opt out not universal on the site - so people could opt out of systems, not the whole site. As malifaux rankings / whatever game comes next might be quite useful to have - if that makes sense. I agree with rankings for systems that have confined rules (Chess, backgammon, PC Games, etc.) but when there is so much potential for exploitation in a tape measure system feels wierd. Anyway, its not a thread to discuss the validity of rankings
  10. In H/WM the people that have opted out are considered some of the best players in the game (taking most of the top ranking posititons before opting out). By removing ourselves it has devalued the validity of the ranking system and made it more of a 'fun' thing. Playing competitive H/WM for 2 years now at the top tables, people know who the good players are and who aren't - sometimes you don't have to put it infront of someone's face. Craig knows me btw, so ask him for evidence
  11. There has been a big opt out in the UK warmachine scene too and wierdly - if you opt out of one system, it does it for all systems. Maybe they need a function to allow opting out of different systems.
  12. So his ability stops Spirit Food (0) but doesn't stop the standard Seishin creating as its a place, thanks! Any more tips to beating him?
  13. So, there has been a lot of 'scare' about this certain master. What ways do we have to combat him when playing as Kirai (my current fav. master!)? One rule of his seems ridiculously strong vs her: Voracious Rats - meaning I can't spawn Seishin/Gaki from stuff I kill?
