  1. just played a game last night with kaeris, rail golem, 3 fire gamin and 6 ice gamin.

    certainly not an optimal crew and I picked it before strats/schemes just for a bit of fun but they did well due to activations (and reconnoiter).

    if the schemes and strats work out for your crew then any crew is capable of winning

  2. my arcanist masters tend to use 3 each but hardly anyone else in faction does (apart from myranda). 

    my outcast ones it depends, levi gets 1 or even 0, but alyce takes a couple, misaki sometimes gets one depending on points left over

  3. dont think I have ever used smash with my ice golems, much better to go for 3 attacks in the long run unless something is high armour or impossible to wound etc as you will probably get at least 2 through, possibly more and when backed up with an ice gamin thats a nice 4/4/7 attack 3 times anyway.

     

    get those december acolytes in there as well as they are great models that give good casting points and really annoy people (built in slow and discard a card).

     

    usually i will only do one paralyse a turn, best thing for that is throw a gamin into base contact with your target, then if you hit the gamin it can relent and stil paralyse the target (unless its a master).

     

    also dont be scared to throw your damage spells into combat, if you hit your own you can go for the straight or positive damage flip to get the big blasts out there and if it kills a gamin thats 2 more damage on top of whatever else you hit with the blasts.

  4. just used levi myself last night (2nd game using him) against our experienced resser player. i didnt take any of the pariah upgrades so was pure outcast crew.

    being turf war he took master of summoning Nicodemus but i pretty much out summoned him and out activated him all game for a 10-1 win.

    levi is certainly powerful, especially against people who dont know how to deal with him that well but putting limits on his pariah upgrades wouldnt really change him that much.

     

    think the main thing with Levi certainly for our area is he doesnt see much use as everyone goes on about how powerful he is so we feel a bit bad bringing him out, so as they dont play him dont know how to deal with him.

  5. What tends to happen if you bounce Seamus behind Raspy's lines is she paralyzes him, due to his Df 4 and then the Wendigo runs up and eats him.

     

    which is what the complaint is. upto 3 fairly easy paralyzes per turn from upto 16" away.  plus I have no fear of throwing my blasts into combat

  6. Justin said that the Ht of the aura only matters for LoS and cover purposes. If two models can see each other and they are close enough from top down perspective, they are affected by auras. There is practically no way to deduce from the rules that this is the correct way to handle auras, so I think it really should be added to FAQ.

     

    is there a link to where he says this? as auras do say they are only the ht of the model producing them.

    the way you guys are saying would have benefitted me in 2 recent games so happy to use it but with nothing official its kind of hard to convince people when the rules say what they do about aura heights

  7. was having an interesting conversation today about top tier masters with people in my meta. they are of the opinion that Rasputina is just this side of broken and head and shoulders above the other Arcanist masters but from reading the forums its Ramos that everyone thinks is the top arcanist.

     

    so who are your top masters per faction? and an overall top 3 in the game?
