  1. The way the world is currently going however the white straight guy is going to become (if he hasnt already) the one that will need protection.

    At the moment there are quotas in jobs to get people of certain ethnic or sexual back grounds in. There are groups that deal with all things under the sun if you come from a minority background but if you had the same issue as a white straight guy you would get less (if any) help.

     

    The world is going far to far in the opposite direction and now there is very much so positive discrimination, and the white striaght guy is the one being discriminated against.

    In gaming they are still a majority and I think there is alot less discrimination or oppurtunities for it (other than insults etc) but in the world things are changing.

     

    Yes discrimination of any sort is bad, but just because a group has been discriminated against in the past doesnt mean they should have positive discrimination in the future.

  2. bleeding edge tech is really good actually even with few or even no constructs. just for the 0 for joss when he has no other. with it I have killed bete (no burying for you on :-fate), completely shut down a nico summoning party in reconnoiter and screwed up various other casters.

    just double (or triple in nicos case through dropping imbued energies) to engage a caster so they cannot easily cast or walk away makes this a worthwhile upgrade and I often use joss with this in my kaeris crew for it (and the healing my gamin).

     

  3. hmm having played against hamelin twice in tourneys I hadnt seen this. but this explanation does show the rats to be an issue. especially the cheap minion able to easily summon for activation control.

    maybe something will get done, hopefully wyrd will keep an eye on it. having this combo capable with poweful masters such as levi and the viks is the icing on the cake, I like the suggestion of rat kings only forming under hamelin.

  4. I really should start building to schemes but the crew I listed above I took to a tourney as a fixed crew and did fine, even would have won if not for a reflip init coming up RJ to give the viks the game. so its a crew that can work in anything.

    as for arcane effigy, apart from condition removal it doesnt really do much for kaeris as she hands out more burning anyway and rarely goes for the damage (but when she does I guess it could work)

  5. kaeris is great. would have blinding flame and grab and drop upgrades on her. 

    then firestarter, both gunsmiths, 2 fire gamin, willie and maybe the captain from the ironsides box. (basically what i run but substituting the captain for joss).

    can always replace willie or a gunsmith with joss

  6. still cant see more than 20 rankings on pc, have to go to mobile if I want to see more.

    dunno why this would be :( 

    otherwise great site. 

    do we still get a rainbow badge for all 7 factions? as looking at doing that whether we do or not

     

  7. I have done a big beater crew (was more big shooter but could be beater) myself but with upgrades as they are too good. I want at least 5SS of upgrades - desolate soul on both alyce and levi, tally sheet on levi (also have hodgepodge for stones and cards from tallysheet on kills)

     

    crew was 

    Levi - desolate soul, tally sheet

    2 waifs

    alyce - desolate soul

    ashes and dust

    lazarus

    vanessa (gotta love card manipulation)

    hodgepodge effigy

  8. wendigo is the best totem for raspy I think. 

    gets to cast one of her spells. is a significant minion. if kills something raspy gets fast.

    devour is great in a raspy crew too as all you need is an average to high crow in hand and with MI8 chances are you will eat something that raspy paralyses 1st (then chain activate to eat them)

  9. well wrath can lead a crew but as a NvB, if you took another NvB master with the other 3 then they would be same faction, but if you took say an outcast master with the other 3 they wouldnt be friendly to each other as declared faction would be outcast. at least IMO

    yeah thats the range I said in the post you quoted. and yes it does make her flexible but its unlikely to get her into combat 1st turn.

    easiest is probably move the anchors/waifs 

    then next easiest is kill the waifs, then the anchors.

    buffing defences isnt great against levi as he can get around alot of them, and he also has a pretty mean punch that people forget sometimes when putting up clouds, auras etc

     

    for something else you could put ice pillars (or their equivalent) between the waifs and anchors as iirc they still need LOS.

    rail walk is only an 8" range and we are on about 1st turn so chances are an enemy will no be in 13" on turn 1. all for 1 attack.

    if that were the case then with levi I would just charge mei instead and go for the 8 severe he has to dish out.

    dont get me wrong, shes good and probably my favourite arcanist master at the moment, however if someone wants to get around vent steam they can, especially if its a master. also you then have to deal with alot of levis crew as well as levi (which in my case is when running him is 4 henchmen/enforcers)

  12. if you are putting 3 negative flips then mei feng is not moving anywhere, really slowing the crew. 2 negative flips is 1 stone, 1 channel and hes back to evens can get the stones back fairly easily by killing stuff.

     

    anything that can move the waifs or anchors is useful. performers, ironsides, the captain

    also warding runes for removing built in suits (generally stops summoning of more abominations).

    blasts are also useful to try and get the waifs, raspy is good for this and so is willie (especially if using mei feng and kang, so mostly undead/constructs so you get :+fate)

  13. i am really enjoying the new schemes and have been bluffed successfully with them (opponent was measuring to the centreline and dropping schemes) but I was fine with that and amused when he actually revealed something else.

    until you score points saying you have convict labour is upto the opponent to believe or not, wouldnt call it cheating. it would be like saying I really need to kill "specific model" before he does me serious harm etc trying to force your opponents activation.

    maybe its not nice, but bluffs, counter bluffs, its all down to your belief in what your opponent says.

    after all they cannot actually score off convict labour no matter how many times they say they have it if they dont have it
