mauler is a also a good option if you run out of minions in a hunting party game or if its bounty hunter strat 

relying on protection of metal with its 3" range is severely limiting your ice golem, one lure or push (on either golem or gamin) and he's back down to df2

I do like them for throwing models down the field but with all the other options at 10SS in arcanist this df2 behemoth is one of the worst. now I have the models I will almost always use blessed of december or emmisary with raspy upgrade over an ice golem.

I actually ran the firestarter in mine and hes really good thanks to reckless and his ranges.

would think firestarter, gunsmith, fire gamin and willie (at 35 i ran an additional gunsmith and fire gamin)

if you can get upgrades like helmet (hard to kill) and the regen skill the firestarter really comes into his own able to run 3 actions every turn with no worry so almost a pseudo master.

the joker will only add a ram if used on the attack flip, not when used on the damage flip which is what they are talking about.

having never faced yours I didnt know what it was  i am sure I will end up on the receiving end of it sometime this year though

isnt hidden agenda the upgrade to improve oiran?

if so I have to wonder why you put it on Huggy when you have no Oiran?

from the aether doesnt require stones as alyce has the suits built in for it. requires a 7 one turn, then a 10 the next and after that you probably never need to summon another scrap marker anyway so just summon abominations

Also, I regularly play against MythicFOX, and have met InsidiouslyMad in many torunaments, both of them extremely good Arcanist players. I also dabble in them myself. I seriously doubt you could change my views on Feng or Kaeris. Even the others listed above don't think much of them.

yep, which is why I said alot of people may disagree with him in the 1st post of mine you quoted. 

obviously need to run my mei feng and kaeris crews against him to give him a new appreciation of those masters  

aah blutac  didnt know his forum name. only 12th ranked UK player besides being the master though (and nearly beat his raspy if not for my own stupidity) 

still stand by what I say though is its different in different metas and I am even more surprised by some of his choices knowing the people he plays against at tourney level

can still be meta specific, alot of differences in what he says to what I and others have seen (mei feng has won me a tourney, kaeris nearly did - both fixed crews in non-fixed crew tourneys)

top player in the UK for example often uses lilith to win yet stryder has her listed as playable (edging competitive) so difference in areas, and even in countries. I think the UKs meta is massively different to the US one for example (and probably bigger as an overall meta compared to many mini metas). dont know where stryder plays

think kaeris and mei feng have both done me well at tourneys. 

tbh alot of these competitive/playable/uncompetitive are meta dependent and I think alot of people maybe disagreeing with stryder

would say somer is the top gremlin master as he is pretty much better at everything than any of the others.

raspy ahead of ramos in arcanists and viks can be top tier (especially if using the rat engine).

sonnia I have never really had trouble with and would rather face her than lady J. same with kirai, but then only played her once and didnt allow ikyro out.

Could almost do a 7 tier thing and order the masters. top master for me from each faction would probably be:

Guild - Perdita

Ressers - Seamus (able to do so many more schemes than kirai easily)

Arcanist - Rasputina

Neverborn - Lilith (having seen her played very nastily by UKs greg)

Outcast - Leveticus

Gremlin - Somer

Ten Thunders - Shen Long

would get more difficult after that to put the masters in tiers 2-7 but certainly some obvious bottom tier ones (ironsides, yan lo - both factions, lucius - both factions, brewie)

the 1st time you summon an abomination off either upgrade it has more than paid for its cost which is why I dont mind taking both.

i know its expensive but I give her both desolate soul and from the aether. 

this means she can summon at range and also has a useful 0 (much better than levis as it doesnt require the suit as well)

Lazarus says cant be hired by guild. If McCabe is declared TT then why wouldnt he be able to be hired? Or does Lazarus say cant be hired by guild masters?

This would then be the same with Misaki, if you are playing TT then misaki is a TT master for the game so wouldnt be able to be healed twice.

well we did have a viks rat bomb appear on top table at a tourney yesterday, killed alot of stuff but the Lynch player still managed to pull off a win and take the tourney.

well i do have a counter-outcast (mostly for the viks) list when running my own outcasts and it would also stop ratjoy too. dont think it would do so well against some of the other outcasts but you never know.

misaki with disguise then whatever other unchargable outcasts you want (A&D, alyce, ronin, hans, oiran - with misaki anyway) and whatever upgrades you want for them

seems this debate has headed to A Wyrd Place on facebook. where there are a few people who dont seem to have a problem with the list.

the lone swordsman can ignore it on a trigger cant he?

also kang can give you positives to attack and damage constructs and if take some rail workers with him and the hard worker upgrade then all foundry models (in this case kang and the rail workers) can discard a card to ignore armour

other options are to push stuff away you dont want to fight and generally do the scheme thing. tie up peacekeeper with a TT brother on defensive. apart from those listed armour will generally be a problem for shen long.
