  1. I won at a small tourney yesterday using Titania all day.

    base crew is

    Titania - taproot, the forest claims all, wings of darkness

    aeslin - malifaux provides

    2 rougaru and the 3 autumn knights

     

    the sheer amount of scheme markers, plus healing from titania triggers etc made the crew really durable and easy to score most schemes.

    also the combo of the tooth and 2 rougarou is pretty horrendous (can get 11 attacks all told on the tooths activation from the 3 models) taking out killjoy in turn 1

    I will be replacing aeslin with the emmisary though as it can help all the minions and aeslin generally didnt do huge amounts throughout.

    my bad, didnt have my books/cards when replying so didnt realise she pushed away with her attack. something I will have to do with my 2 rougarou and the tooth now then :D

  3. I agree but with the 8" range its likely they will be base to base after even just the lure so just one pounce, not 3 like the OP seems to suggest at one point.

    Gorar has to be within 6" of the centre, I dont see anything that fragile surviving there for any length of time.

  4. Couple of things reading through all this - 

    mention of tooth and rougarou combining for multiple attacks but this only works if the model moves and ends that move within melee range. so surely should only get 1 pounce as after the first push you are probably in base contact with her.

    using the gorar - as a titania player myself and seeing some in action I have yet to use/see the gorar as its really crap and dies so easily its daft, all for the chance of maybe getting a model back.

     

    shen long and snipers etc should do really well, you also have good access to decent healing that goes off quickly, as well as pushes and easy access fast. as mentioned by others consider kang as there are lots of undead/constructs out there and even if your opponent doesnt bring undead he still has a ml7 whomping shovel.

    also consider mei feng (my favourite arcanist master also does well in TT). vent steam basically screws over all the lures, and alot of the titania crews attacks.

    all is not lost and TT can put out the pain (although I do like 2 snipers with shen long - push them and gain fast on both)

  5. I like the poltergeist as well. really effective with pandora and people end up concentrating on hitting that rather than something else. I always forget that its a woe and I could have saved it in my last tourney with pandora.

    combine with insidious madness, pandy and sorrows (maybe throw in widow weaver) and pretty much everyone will struggle with willpower based tests

  6. I did do a gunline list once led by shenlong and sensei yu

    had fuhatsu, a samurai and 2 katanakas.

    fast fuhatsu, pushed/fast samurai or katanakas is pretty awesome, with some free focus too

    best thing was people thinking its a gunline (like guild) so just engage it, but these guys are all as good if not better in melee

  7. I have ran her as charge denial against viks, things like A&D, Alyce and Hans were in there. 

    it was only because of bad cards or her attacking vik of ashes that she died and blood did nothing all game.

    it is fun to do and with her move away action now being a 0 it  makes her really slippery to catch

  8. depends what you want. if you are used to activating your master late then sure, but yes she wants to go early, at least on turn 1. I like having blinding flame, target my 2 gunsmiths for 3" push then fly kaeris forwards. the gunsmiths throw in low rams for fast and gain burning then can fly upto 15" and drop a marker, good for early scheme shenanigans.

    gunsmiths targeting things kaeris has set on fire can also be better than december acolytes if the target is in cover. and remember that ++ is to all duels with targets on fire, so this is horror, defensive etc etc so really useful.

    I currently run joss with her but after seeing carlos in action I may have found a replacement.

    current crew that does me well most of the time:

    Kaeris - grab and drop, blinding flame

    Joss - imbued energies, bleeding edge tech (sometimes dropped for kaeris to get something else)

    Johan - imbued energies

    Willie

    2x gunsmiths

    2x firegamin

    alot of this crew is as good ranged as it is in melee so can threaten quite far away or take the fight to the enemy. also has 4 hard to kill models and explodey fire gamin

    Levi - Desolate Soul, Tally Sheet (2SS pool)

    2x Waifs

    Alyce - Desolate Soul, From the Aether

    Ashes and Dust

    Vanessa

    Johan - oathkeeper

    Hodgepodge Effigy

     

    This gives me 4 anchors, some card manipulation, ability to gain soulstones etc. Also occasionally swap Vanessa out for Sue or Hans and have swapped A&D (plus johans oathkeeper) out for an abomination and one of our nice 10pt models (taelor, lazarus, bishop, hannah, emmisary)

    Since his cuddle Levi has been less killy for me and often runs schemes outside of his one or 2 focussed shots as he can really get about and do what he needs to.

    Fun kill for me was taking down Asami(?) with a hollow waif (RJ damage on double neg) and the hodgepodge effigys big knife.

  10. As one person suggested replace an abomination with hodegpodge effigy. Much tougher and more useful, also means Levi can happily use stones to get the trigger when he knows hes killing something to get his abomination as he will get it back. Add in Tally Sheet to gain a card too and you gain abominations for no real resource outlay.

    usual for me is:

    Mei - price of progress, seismic claws, vapourmancy

    Joss - bleeding edge tech, imbued energies

    Kang - hard worker, imbued energies

    2 Rail workers, Arcane Effigy, Willie, Emberling
