agree Adding new ability and improving stats is great in games where the models are fairly generic (ex: necromunda). In this game, the unit are already too developed to add more ability to them. I think the best way to handle experience, would be that unit gains level, and each level the units have, gives him some sort of positive flip on a flip, once per game .

what are the new books going to be about. 1-are they gonna only introduce new models, 2-new models with only a few extra rules mostly concerning the models relaeased with the book (ala privateer press, 3- whole new rules (i<d kill for a great campaign setting like Dog of wars (confrontation))

you're right, Ive misread the rule for money. I tought it said that it could join any master for 5 ss. But as I've just checked, it's only in a brawl, making her (them) your second master. Make sense as I tought she was way too good for 5 ss. I wonder if there's going to be another master for mercenary, since I really like theyr models, but dont want want to have the vicktorias as master

I think i've finally made my choice on wich crew i'll play (at leat at first), i'll take a ramos box set and add in joss and a convicted gunslinger. not sure if he's woth a point (you can take a vicktoria for 1 point less), but really like his model and the way he plays. Wonder what you guys think of his addition. I must add that the fact that other stamborgs class are gonna be released, greatly influenced by decision. They better be as cool as the executiioner class:jester:

thinking about it, Leveticus can hire an insane amount of models. Nearly all the resurectionnist, all the arcanist construct (spider and golem), and bad juju. If he want to hire mercenary, I guess he haves to pay the 1 extra ss

the book is great, tough I would have prefered more descriptive fluff in order to know more about the world of malifaux ,instead of the grandiose story, buy that might be just me

is it me, or it is failry easy to abuse the rule with mcmourning. By taking part counter instead of SS, you get a flesh construct for 5 ss. i know you still need the card to cast the spells, but still, it shouldn't be roo hard. Since there's no limit to the number of counter you can exchange this way, you can get 2 flesh construct for 10 SS, wich seem really overpowered.

a monthly and a half scheduled is great imo. But you have to be careful to not mak it a lot longer than this, since too big of a time gap between release can really hurt a game (see alkemy)

this threaD should be in the malifaux section Cool video, even tough the sound ius not the best. I have a question about the game mechanics (damn slow mail, I wish I had my book now). When you use the card in your hand, it replace the card you flipped? If so, how does ability like critical hit works. Ericj said Critical strike does +1 damage per Ram in the duel total. If it's so, you can only do one extra damage with critical hit (or 2 if the ram suit is integrated in your combat), or do you also take the ram of your opponent if he flipped one?
