I think their just catching up on miss packs (pun) now, i had a minor issue with mine and Nathan mentioned that batches of replacements for missing items had been out this week and last. I would guess that following Gencon, then a huge batch of orders, and then getting the miss packs sorted, and then also handling the dispatches for the new releases to the distributors its been pretty hectic there, its also holiday season.

Gah, mine is showing delivered, and because i was out today i have a card saying its left at the neighbours. The neighbour who doesnt seem up atm (its 9pm here) So close, yet so far ....

I think Puppet Wars is probably still available as its general release now, its only still in the gencon category because its in both categories and they havent removed the gencon one yet. If you look at the original gencon release thread, unlike the Malifaux stuff, Puppet Wars had no release dates shown.

Thought i'd compile a list of questions people have been asking (both on forum and in our local store) regarding Gencon orders. Hopefully someone from Wyrd can take a moment to answer these. 1. Have orders started shipping yet ? (Friday 12th) 2. Will people receive an email when their order ships ? 3. What order will orders be processed in, i.e. is it in the order received, US orders first, International first, etc ? 4. Will all Gencon "customer" orders go out before "Distributor" stock (to avoid the horrible sight of something you ordered from Gencon hitting your local store before you receive your order) ? 5. Who should people contact with any issues with their orders relating to the order process ? 6. Did you have enough models cast to fulfil orders or will there be a slight delay in casting extra for demand ? 7. Did you have enough cards/packaging printed for orders (similar to Q6) ? 8. Who should people contact if their order arrives missing bits, or missing some of the "freebies" ? 9. Did you have fun at Gencon ? 10. If someone thinks they have been undercharged or overcharged shipping will you contact them to address the difference ?

Nothing major since the post office will use the postcard but when i added an item my order address shows up correctly as county Yorkshire, but the shipping county shows as Aberdeenshire, and i'm pretty sure i used the pre-defined shipping address in my account, so might be a mis match somewhere between order and shipping regions. Shouldnt effect the actual shipping as post code is used more than county.

One thing we are thinking of doing at our LGS is having a "lucky dip" puppet wars box, i.e. we open up a few boosters, stick the card+mini in little bags and then have people draw them blind from a box for a small fee. Would work very well at Malifaux or Puppet Wars events.

Been a while since i've posted my terrain projects, thought people might like to see a pirate themed terrain board i've just finished for the LGS. It will still work for Malifaux but was mainly made for another <cough> game. Other boards in the works at the moment : Malifaux board 4, Infinity, Warmachine.

O is closet, not an exact match (tiny bit bigger) but close enough, especially if its train bits you are after.

Are you allowed to use pre-made accessories or does everything have to be hand crafted, i.e. could you use an accessory, save a gravestone that was purchased as a mini accessory ? Obviously using the accessories as part of the marker, rather than the whole thing.

Looking for people's honest opinions here. I need to concentrate on one project, but i've got two ideas, firstly i have Malifaux.info Designed as a blog/news/content site about Malifaux, the basic framework is done and now its just a case of populating it all. With the advent of the wiki though i'm worried about duplication. minigamingnews.com I think theres a gap in the market for a decent gaming news site, using the latest web technology to make it easier to access and filter down just to the content you want. The plan would be to run news, articles, interviews on a regular basis. Which project do people think i should concentrate on

I'm working on a new mini gaming news website, i've tried to avoid duplicating the existing sites by coming up with a new way of presenting the material. At the top of the page you'll find filters, like By Genre, By Scale, etc, these will allow you to quickly filter down to the news you are interested in. I was thinking more than one book would be the rules, characters, any extra scenarios, not a replacement for a rules manual but more a flip book of the characters and any extra/new rules. We wont get cards for the new models until the model is released so would need them in the book. The other book would be the story/fluff, and as Crooked mentions it could include the original story as well.

We were talking in store about the popularity of the rules manual and it occurred to me that book 3 might work better as a set of two books, rules manual sized, one book holding the "fluff"/Story and the other the new characters/rules. You would buy them as a set of two, and it would nicely keep the rules/characters separate from the fluff. Views ?
