  1. Not really gonna defend my views, as I have nothing to back them up, so consider it questions as to why the following wouldn't work. You should have more models so should out-activate her, unless she is using Persistent Distraction on herself. 15" > 12", so Gremlins should have the edge here.. If they wanna fire at their own piglets the range is even higher, and getting the blast template off the range is around 20". Pandora can't really move that well if she doesn't cast, and she can only target each model once with Pacify/Incite and if she fails even a single one she can't cast it no more, so without Sorrows it'd still take some casting to kill even measly Gremlins. If her Pacify/Incite engine shuts down in an unfortunate spot the Gremlins might even be able run and blow themselves up with Y'all Watch This, to bring her down. Well I don't know.. On the paper I think Gremlins have a fair chance to bring her down, question is whether they sacrifice too many of their own models for that sole purpose and thereby loses to the the rest of her crew. Still, might be all wrong Have yet to see Gremlins in action..
  2. Okay.. I never played a Pandora vs. Jones.. But.. On the paper even if Gremlins have a silly low Wp they do have access to a fair amount of blasts, with fairly long range even - and Pandora really doesn't like those. If she's bringing Sorrows it'd take only two Dumb Luck blasts to get her down. And if she isn't.. Then unless she wants to target 2SS models with her magics it'd be troublesome for her to avoid Gremlins recklessly running 15" towards her only to be blown up by their comrades. Of course I am most likely wrong, but I think Gremlins should have at least a glimpse of a chance..
  3. Wooden?! I thought it was hooves, much ala the Mature Nephilim.. Haven't held the miniature yet though..
  4. If you go multidimensional. A sphere with a 3" diameter have a much higher surface area than a 3"x3" square does. But why stop in three dimensions?! I suppose it's rather difficult to represent such a terrain piece though... hmm..
  5. Whoa... !! I think you hit the eerieness-level spot on. Don't have anything constructive to say... Just that I'm amazed by these Guide?
  6. They'll be needing the same cards to pull those summons off though.. So in the end, I don't think you'd be raising much more than you would in a Scrap.. Nicodem being the buffer, Douglas the beast and Seamus the weird guy with the gun. I think any combination would do well really. I like Douglas the best of the three though, so would definetly get him. (If I had any ressers in the first place that is~ )
  7. Could you give us a reference for this Lalochezia? Or can anyone else confirm this is indeed how it works? The Leveticus part I especially don't understand as his 'Pariah' refers to the entire crew. Edit: If this is how it works then I don't understand why you could only hire Leveticus with Ramos.. Everything would make alot more sense if a Brawl consisted of two Scrap crews, as Leve should really work for anyone.
  8. This was how I assumed it worked aswell. Rereading the 'Encounters'-section I don't see it supported by the rules though. Also Som'er doesn't allow that?
  9. Ah.. I see what you're getting at now.. It's part of Jones' rules that he can be taken with Zoraida though. Also Gremlins don't have the 'mercenary'-trait, so you can take any number you want with Zoraida as they're all below Wp4. As for the Viks I'm not certain, but I was under the impression that once you took her you were free to add both from the faction and from the outcasts. I realize now that I'm probably wrong on this one though.
  10. This is my understanding of the situation: Leveticus can ally with Ramos. Viktorias can be taken with everyone except Leveticus, but pays a fairly large price for it.. (I don't understand this limitation on them.. ) Jones can go with Zoraida and Viktorias (though they still have to pay I think).
  11. Ah yes, I'm certain this is how it works.. Though Alyce's rule is the more general of the two, so was thinking that even with the rewording Leveticus' more specific rule 'draw 0' would still take precedence. Such a shame, really hoped I was missing something critical Haha.. Rookie mistake on my part, sorry about that, obviously makes the Unfailing alot better. I see.. Guess terrain is really critical to Leveticus then, protecting them in the open would still be a tough thing to do. Also need to get TLOS out of my head when thinking about how the rules work. Thanks and sorry for the bother~!
  12. You can't Run Through in the first place if you're carrying the objective, not without dropping it anyway..
  13. Okay.. This thread might be long dead and all, but as it should be an ever evolving Tactica I'll revive it anyway.. I'm a new player and just got the rulebook and a few of the starter sets (unfortunately the Viktorias were sold out at the time so got some random sets without knowing the rules thinking that I'd probably end up with most of them eventually anyway). I've now read most of the book and have a few questions to various of the models and as they mostly refer to the usage of the models, rather than the actual rules I thought it fitting to post here. Okay! The real post starts here: Viktorias: It's stated in the first post that Student of Conflict giving one fast affects the other.. I don't see why this would happen as 'Assist' isn't a spell, but rather an action.. The 'Sisters in Battle' seems great, but I can only ever imagine using the 'Fury', what makes the other two options for it worth using at all? 'Unerring Accuracy' says it's only applied after you actually hit (so it'll -never- be better than 'Unfailing'). 'Unfailing' would under rare circumstances improve damage by 3, mostly though it would increase it by less than 2 making it clearly inferior to 'Fury'. Leveticus: He seems too complex for me to mess around with any time soon, but.. If you actively try to kill him yourself, how do you prevent the enemy from just blasting the Hollow Waif once you succeed? They seem terribly fragile at best, and if they're continuously summoned to the front of the battle (where I assume Leveticus would be) it's not like you can easily hide them, is it? Rusty Alice: Now I'm a bit confused about the wording on 'Something to Live For', if played with Leve, when do you get to draw extra cards? It doesn't directly affect the maximum handsize like 'Arcane Reservoir' or 'Ill-Fated' does. Striclty from the rules it would only ever work on the very first turn, what am I missing (as I'm sure I must be wrong)? Lady Hammerstrike: Has anyone ever found a use for 'Menace'? At first it seemed great, locking the enemy in place while staying outside their reach still able to swing your hammer at them up to 3" away, then I read the FAQ that people can resist with Wp it now seems utterly useless to me as I think even the lowest Wp in the game is still considerable higher than Taelor's Ca. Finally I hope I'm not sounding too negative (I really don't intend to), but I find this to be a great overview, but a rather poor tactica as there isn't really any tactics to be found (except a few gems here and there throughout the entire thread..). I think maybe a different section for each of the masters as on the other boards had worked better? Cheers and thanks~!
  14. It says they have to be placed at least 1" away from any model. So that would be a no =)
  15. Is Johan and Bishop that terrible? I was just considering the Viktoria box as my first one to order along with the rulebook. Edit: oh and sorry for the semi-necromancing, but it was still on the first page, so figured it'd be okay, even if we're not on The Resurrectionists board..
