  1. Asmodee US is aiming for a summer release of Hell Dorado - I'll keep you guys informed as to the release date, along with any info I may get that hasn't been posted to the French blog...
  2. Awesome idea - I'm doing something similar this year, as each member of the family has to bring something they've done at the family reunion, where the various items'll auctioned between family members and the money raised will be given to charity. Love your paint jobs, btw.
  3. I don't recall seeing her in the manual (as I said before, it was a while ago and an alpha version), but the reference to Vargas makes me think that she'll probably be part of the Spanish faction...
  4. The game should be released around May in french, don't know about when in English yet, but the head honcho at Asmodee-US did say he wanted the english version out as soon as possible. As for the "Twirly Gowned Lady" from Duende's picture, I believe it should be a fallen angel (yes, there are some of those in the game), but I could be wrong - all I've seen of the game itself was an early "Alpha" draft, and that was months ago...
  5. Forwarded the link to the head honcho at Asmodee US - thought he'd like the idea for Helldorado...
  6. I believe you can - though the way the releases are planned doesn't seem all that cool to me: it's semi collectible. The releases are scheduled as cycles or waves, each produced for a specific amount of time. If you want something which was released in an earlier cycle/wave, too bad, you're out of luck. I was told there were two reasons for this: 1- It keeps the catalog references to a manageable level, 2- It's a way of actually thanking players who get into the game earlier, as they have models which newer players can no longer have access to. As I said - not sure I like the idea. :/
  7. French release date is May 2007 - the last blog update shows the concept artists, sculptors and painters hard at work (said update was actually done last week....) Right now, the English version of it is planned, but as all the news we get from the french branch is "the project is coming along nicely", we've placed it on hold for the moment. Retour des Dieux and Chroniques de la Lune Noire (Ilyad minis games) are both dead, though, the sculptors having been hired by Asmodee when Ilyad went bankrupt, and put to work on Helldorado.
  8. Here's another preview of a mini from the french Helldorado blog - a Sarcen Blessed Warrior:
  9. I have a set of that small shelf - it does look nice, but for painted stuff my parents got me a pair of glass cabinets, because they've got that parent's pride in my paint work , they're large, somewhat fragile (they're glass cabinets, after all), but they come with a small light fixture. found them online here: http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?topcategoryId=15561&catalogId=10103&storeId=3&productId=11638&langId=-15&chosenPartNumber=10011055
  10. I generally use this handle on forums (I'm on Rpg.net, Rackham's english forum and minirealms, at least - I know I've got a cmon account somewhere, I ought to dust it off). As for my native language, I'd have to say french, by a few years - I learned both french and english at relatively the same time, and I turned that into a career. Gotta love growing up in a french part of Canada.
  11. Um...don't really know where to start... I've lurked a few times and generally like the tone and ambiance around here, so I've decided to join. I'm sure some of you may have seen me on other forums, either roleplaying or miniature related. err... I'm a freelance translator, I've had a couple of contracts with Rackham and a few with Asmodee US, I paint minis in my spare time (when I can motivate myself to do it), I admit I've mostly got Rackham minis, but I'm starting to pick up models left and right for no other reason than because they seem like they'll be nice painted up. If I can ever get a proper photo setup, I'll put some pics of what I've done up. So yeah - if there's anything more you'd like to know, feel free to ask...
