Personally, I don't like seeing the half-finished greens, I'd rather see whole greens. How can I really get excited about something when it doesn't even have a face? And these just show they're re-hashing old models... while I understand the cost-effectiveness, it doesn't particularly thrill me to know that it's not completely a new idea.

Nice detail work on Ezren, I think he's the best of the batch. Karzoug is ok, but pictured next to Ezren makes him appear to have the stature of a midget. Scribbler is ok, but his weapons look large and clumsy. And only the boob armor and name shows me Seelah is a female, she looks rather mannish.. Just my 2¢.

I like the Griffon, nice and beefcakey. Parker.. in a parka, haha. Gotta admit, don't see many gobbo girls out there, that's different. It's just the usual good stuff from HF.

I just wonder if the dice are balanced. Like the one that's the open mouth.. how does it roll? I wouldn't want to be using them in a game and be accused of using weighted dice. Anyone know? (They still look awesomely cool though!)

I agree too. The bearer is ok being "ordinary" but if he's supposed to be carrying buckets of souls around, then at least make the "souls" look interesting, rather than just like oily smoke. I think they should have been painted brighter with more color to catch the eye and contrast to the drabness of the bearer. On a side note: Those souls look very "Everblight-y"....

Just a thought from left field.... Maybe set up the contest as a "Terrian Idol"? (like American Idol) - where everyone gets to vote and only the top X scorers move on to the next round. So it's kinda like an Iron Painter and regular contest cross; everyone can vote on pieces in polls and have more than one round [with or without themes]. Just an idea. I'm not going to push it, just wanted to give an idea of a different format for a contest.

Where's the "Maybe" option? Maybe we could also suggest a catchy name for it here too? In the same vein as Femme Fatale, Total Testosterone, and Rotten Harvest. Ideas? A few from me: Ground Breaker Making a Scene Ace of Base (yeah cheesy, I know)

Maybe instead of Category by type (Fantasy, Sci-fi, etc.), maybe categories by size. Like a 30-50mm base sizes, 50-300 mm, and 300+ for the big pieces. Then break down each size category by type (urban, landscapes, abstract, whatever). This way you wouldn't have to compare, say, a cleverly done base sized for a single mini and something the size of a gameboard. Maybe even a seperate "Hirst Artistry" category for those into making pieces with that. Just my thoughts on it..... *EDIT* Sheesh, three more posts popped in here since I began writing this one, I see BK had the same idea as me, and a bit faster to write it *
