I just got back into Malifaux after a five year break. Last night I attempted to assemble Aubela and almost lost my mind lol. So many itty bitty pieces, the issue with her body not fitting, and her hat skulls all combine together to make the assembly horrific. I really hope the other plastics are not like this....

Any idea what time people would be showing up on the 5th? I still haven't gotten my first game of Malifaux in despite my persuasion at the Des Moines store. Given the holiday weekend I am considering driving out.

Can you provide some more information about the Demo Day? What time would it start? How many potential players would be showing up? I am thinking of driving in from Des Moines but wanted to make sure that the 2.5 hr drive would be worth it Thanks!!!

Wow this is kinda neat to have alot of Iowa people posting all of a sudden. Whewt. Glad to hear of yet another girl Malifaux gamer. Girl power!

Where is Battlezone games? I am a new player in Des Moines. A few of us at Mayhem games in town picked up Malifaux at gencon. I still haven't got my first game in and I am dying to play.

Mayhem only has a small amount of Malifaux stuff. Like four battle boxes at the most and a few fate decks. Last night at the shop I found out that about 3 other locals all picked up Malifaux from GenCon. So it looks like it might be starting up at the store I couldn't find anyone to play my first game with though b/c all their Malifaux stuff was still in boxes. I am so anxious to play I already have my assembled and primed!

Gasp more female minature gamers. GUSHHHHH! I wish there were some here in town besides me. Cedar Rapids isn't that far for me. Maybe I will have to drive there once I get my crew assembled and I finish reading the rule book. Since my post I have discovered that a few of the guys from the local gaming store also purchased Malifaux. Hello everyone. I just picked up Malifaux at GenCon. I think the idea of the fate deck looks really fun. I got the LadyJ battlebox. I am a female gamer so I enjoy having strong female models I am looking forward to learning this game. Hopefully I can find some people in the area play it with on a regular basis.
