My gaming board - Docks

Earlier in the year I decided that I had had enough of the complicated and many individual rules of Malifaux and quit the game, sold of my minis and decided that I wanted to try Westwind's Empire of the Dead.

While Empire of the Dead is a great game, I still love the crew build of Malifaux and M2E and it's simplification of many basic rules I have decided to get back into the game.

For Empire of the Dead I decided that I wanted to scratch-build a London dock area themed board. During the spring I spent over a 100 hours on the board, but ended up with a result that I'm quite pleased about.

In the future I will be using it for Malifaux as well, believing it will function just as well as a Malifaux town board. I'm thinking about what I can do to give it that weird Malifaux feeling. Any suggestions from you guys would be appreciated.

On my blog I have loads more pictures of the process that I went through:

No levels inside the buildings unfortunately. Not quite sure what solid buildings mean?

Lately I've been thinking about adding backdoors and sidedoors to some of the buildings, so that they can provide a passthrough.

What I'm really looking for is something to give that weird Malifaux feeling

If you look at the link to the post on my blog, you can see pictures from the different stages the building went through.
