*Jack*
Hi all, I'm almost finished painting up my colette list. I have a pretty standard list with coryphees, showgirls, cassandra and oiran when theyre released. However, I feel like I need some ranged support. I painted up a steampunk dorothy as a gunsmith, but I just wanted to throw this out there - What do you feel is better, a gunsmith or a convict gunslinger? I can see many positives for each. So unsure at this point. Gunsmiths :+fate is amazing, as is the custom ammunition. Suppressing fire from the convict G is also pretty good though... as is trigger happy :/ Jack
Sniddy
It's a tricky one for sure...the trigger happy with the right hand/flips is fun...HOWEVER the custom ammo and experimental triggers can both be really useful.... If someone calls neverborn/rezzers I wouldn't hesistate to grab the gunsmith, the likelyhood is there will be a working target The others it's a 50/50 gamble, the armour piercing can help against some targets...but most of the triggers won't - but even then the blasts can kick in as can the experimental If I had to pick one, it'd be the gunsmith...but ideally I'd have both options open
Mr. Goggles
I would go Gunsmith because of the mercenary rule. I don't know if you're running 1 or 2 Oiran, but if you are running 2, you cannot take the Convict Gunslinger since it would be your 3rd out of faction mercenary. I also like the Gunsmith model better. Also, as an M&SU member the Gunsmith has some synergies with other models you can take in a Colette crew as well. (like Joss or Johan)

(like Joss or Johan) Gunsmith isn't an M&SU member, it's an M&SU asset, meaning he doesn't add anything in particular to Joss or Johan. Being an M&SU asset means he can be taken in a Kaeris crew, which is a potential direction to grow from a Colette crew.

My mercenary point still stands though.
swordsman82
Gunslinger is better at raw power and brutality. The Gunsmith gives you versatility. I like the gunsmiths in my Kaeris crew, but haven;t tried them outside of that.
