Collette and summoning Mechanical Doves

If Collette did not pay the cost to bring the mechanical doves in at the start of the game can she still summon them during the game?

I have seen others play other similar models this way and was wondering if this is the way they are played of if you need to have purchased them (i.e. purchase 2 mechanical doves and when the die you can resummon those doves) and can only summon them once one or more has died.

If the second option is the case I would assume that this would mean you can only summon up the total number that you purchased.

nope you can summon as many as you want (up to 3 in play at any one time).

You don't need to have bought them to start with - the same as any other summoned model.

nope, if you pay for them they start on the table.

When you're summoning stuff you don't have to pay any SS for them - that counts for all factions
