Clarification: Henchman in scrap

Hi!

I just started playing Malifaux, and I need this question sorted out since a player in my club disagrees with my conclusion.

Question:

Is it allowed the pick a henchman in scraps?

This is what I found in the rules book:

"When a crew is led by one or more Masters, it can hire one Henchman per Master"

So for example:

In a 35 points game I can bring:

Outcasts Crew - 35 - Scrap

Viktoria -- 8 Pool

Von Schill [9ss] <-- Henchman (Duuh)

Convict Gunslinger [5ss]

Freikorps Librarian [7ss]

Freikorps Trapper [6ss]

I can even do this in the Crew creator. So I belive I am right when I say that you CAN bring a Henchman with a leader to a scrap.

Yup, you can. But they aren't a leader, so they don't get their henchman reserve, and they don't count as a Master (for things like Obey, which can't target Masters). They do retain Use Soulstone, though.

Is there any way I can make this super clear for my buddy? Perhaps something I missed in the rulebook? It feels odd just to say: "Hey, I told you so" xD

Page 71 in the Rules Manual. Henchman section, 4th bullet point.

That says you can do it. There is nothing in the rules that says you can't, so if he still insists, make him show you the rules that says no.
