Several Questions

Imperial

Question

Hey guys, Malifaux is fairly in my country, so I need your help to clarify a few things:

1.Replace

Some placement effects require a model (or models) to Replace one another. When a model(s) Replaces another, place that model in base contact with the model it is replacing, then remove the replaced model from play. There must be room for the model to fit. Any effects on the model(s) being replaced are applied to all Replacing models, including any Wounds

suffered, which must be divided as evenly as possible between them. The Replacing model(s) continue the activation using any general AP the replaced model(s) had remaining. If one model is Replacing multiple models, it uses the highest remaining general AP of those models. The Replacing model(s) can use their specific AP during this activation if any of the replaced models had not already used the same talent or spell. When multiple models replace a single model, they complete their activation using the simultaneous activation rules

Let's say I have 4Steampunk Abominations, 2 of then are already activated, now I activate the third use 1AP to move and the second AP to merge into a Desolation Engine

which I place in base contact with this Steampunk Abomination (the third) ,then the activation continues with the Desolation Engine and i has it's full AP. Is this correct?

2.Duel Draw. I read somewhere on the forums that when you perform a duel vs a friendly target, you can declare that the outcome of the duel was a draw, no matter what fate cards were drawn for the initial flip. I couldn't wind this in rulebook,is this true?

3.And lastly is there anything preventing a single target being affected my multiple Obey spells from different sources? Like Nino being Obeyed 3 times, from Perdida,The Granny,Enslaved Nephilim for example

Thanks a bunch

1. Models only have AP during their activation, so whatever AP you use will not be available for the model that Replaces the current one. In your example, the Desolation Engine would have no general AP left, but if it was in range of another model it could use the 1 specific AP from (+1) Melee Expert to make a Strike.

2. The rule is on page 51, but it only applies to Resist Duels (i.e., when casting spells). You can't choose to draw the duel if you Strike one of your own models, for example.

3. Nope! This is a common tactic.
