daemonkin
WOW! They all look great and I love the magical cloud on the tall dove. Mannequins and performers are looking great too! D.
Wings
The smoke on the dove looks fantastic. And well done on the details on the cards - they're horribly tiny little things.
TeeCee
Hi everyone! @ Daemonkin and @Wings: Thx for the compliments. It was fun painting that smoke. Quite happy with how they are all turning out. :Smug_Puppet1:
TeeCee
Hi everyone! As promised, corephees! The client had already glued the corephees the way he wanted them and described to me that he wanted the 2 crouched down to be different colours and the standing ones to correspond. Not only that, but for the colours to be the same as the corephees on the cards. My biggest challenge with them was to get them to look like each other even tho the sculpts are different (I think I managed to pull it off). I took a few liberties due to the sculpts in order to make the patterns work. In all, they turned out ok. I had painted my beckoner in August for my Pandora crew for events at GenCon. Here is the final product. I wish I could have figured out how to do the stockings a bit better but for my fist attempt, I think it turned out great. Cassandra, Collette and her Avatars soon to come. As always, I enjoy comments, critiques and general hellos :1_Happy_Puppet2:
TeeCee
Next, Cassandra. I have never used so much red! I had a difficult time with my reds due to the paints being extremely thin. Is there a thickener i could use so that the paints are the right consistencies for me? Just asking. Anyhow, Cassandra turned out ok, although im not happy with the face. Could be the sculpt, could be my skill, but something is bothering me. However, its not bothering me too much because i moved onto the Collettes. I have Collette's original sculpt and the 3 sculpts for her avatar. I decided to paint them all at the same time in order to keep colour consistency. I used the same colour scheme on all, except for the white rabbit sculpt due to the white. I tried to reproduce the magical cloud effect that i did on the one dove but it was less swirly so its not quite the same. I am happy with the way the faces turned out. I have such a difficult time with eyes but these turned out really well. In all... Im happy with the way they look. As a whole crew, i am happy on how they turned out. And i was told that the client was extremely happy with my work. I enjoyed painting these models. It was a challenge and i can't wait to start a new project soon.
