Red joker on damage flips

G'day guys i would just like to get a clarification here as to how the extra damage works. the situation is i'm using Casandra breath fire spell witch does 3/3:blast/5:blast:blast now if i flip the red joker for damage gives me an extra card to flip. i then flip a moderate damage. now does that extra card boost the severe damage to 8 or does it mean i sort out one sever damage and then the moderate giving me the third blast?

as far as i know its 8 damage and 2 blasts

With mitch, only the original target takes any extra damage, noone under the blasts and no extra blasts.
