Paul
Played a runthrough of Malifaux today so my friend could get his head around the rules, he has the Ophelia box and we got stuck on the difference between Family Tree and Companion (kin) which seem to do the same thing. Can someone explain please Thanks Paul
Murphy'sLawyer
Family tree allows non-kin models to activate after Ophelia.("Oh it's a girl" a Slophualer then give him family tree to heal Rami before he gets to activate by companion. Yrs I have used it more than once.) Also if you forget to companion a Kin, or your shots failed to kill a dangerous model, you can family tree them to get the job done. Dumb Luck
Best trick for this is with the Piagpult, Pere and Ophleia. Companion the two LaCroix, go with Ophelia first and Family Tree the Pigapult. Load Pere up and place him within 24 inches. Ideally near by the foe. Pere activates and shennigans happen. Paul
It all makes sense, when I first played and was shown the rules we didn't do companion properly looking at the manual it makes sense now. Thanks all
