Fellow Wyrd-o's I am pleased to announce my 1st tournament after the release of Book 3.

Tournament to be held on Sunday, Oct 2nd. 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

• There will be a $10.00 entry fee.
  
• The Tournament will be three rounds at 35ss.
  
• When you sign up, you will declare your Faction. After that, you will create your lists using the normal Malifaux rules.
  
• To celebrate book 3, proxies will be allowed. The only rule is that the proxy must be easily recognizable as the character it is representing. So yes, that means that Avatars are allowed!
  

I'm hoping to have a bit of casual competition, grant some bragging rights, and have a blast.

The first round will be a special, story-type scenario that will hopefully start the day off with some crazy fun.

Smashin’ Pumpkins!

In Malifaux, even the harvest is known to get a little…wyrd. The crops that grow are all affected by the ever present magic that flows in the winds, amongst the strangest are the Malifaux Pumpkins. They grow to an unnatural size and at night, some say they even glow like the Red Star in the Malifaux sky. Legend has it that these pumpkins absorb the souls of the fallen, using them like fertilizer and when broken open they release energy much like a soul stone. I guess there is only one way to find out…

Set Up:

Standard Deployment. Place three 50mm Pumpkin Patch markers in the center of the table. One marker is placed at the center point of the table. The other two are placed 9” on either side of the first, along the center line of the table.

Special:

Pumpkin Patch Markers are not removed. Models in base contact with a Pumpkin Patch marker may make a (2) Interact to Smash a pumpkin in the Pumpkin Patch. A model may not Smash the same Pumpkin Patch marker two times in a row. A model may not Smash a Pumpkin Patch marker if it is in melee with an enemy model. Keep track of the total number of times your models Smash the Pumpkin Patch markers, this is the total number of pumpkins you have smashed. Insignificant models may not Smash Pumpkin Patch Markers.

After a Master or Henchmen makes the (2) Interact to Smash a Pumpkin Patch marker, flip a fate card:

Joker: Gain 1 Pumpkin Patch Soul Stone. Pumpkin Patch Soul Stones may be kept for the duration of the tournament and may be used in any game. They are a one use only, so once they are used discard them. Pumpkin Patch Soul Stones allow a player to have more soul stones than the maximum starting soul stone pool size. Players may have more than 1 Pumpkin Patch Soul Stone.

1-9: The next melee/ranged Strike or Cast action receives +1 to the flip.

10-13: Make a Healing Flip

Victory:

If the total number of smashed pumpkins by both players is tied, both players score 1 VP.

The player with the highest total number of smashed pumpkins scores 2 VP.

If that players total number of smashed pumpkin is 3 or more than his opponents total number of smashed pumpkins, that player scores +2 VP.

Additional Stipulation:

At the end of the tournament, the Tournament Organizer (TO) will tally up the total number of smashed pumpkins for all the participating players. The player with the overall highest total number of smashed pumpkins will be known as “Lord Pumpkin Smasher” and will receive the Billy Corgan Trophy!!
