Well ikiryo is unique and buried models only count as dead If they'r still buried at the end of the game. So id say no.. could be wrong tho..

SS!

Irrelevent to the question - a buried model counts as not in play, and uniqueness/rarity only care about models in play (per rulebook definitions). The question isn't really whether you can summon a new Ikiryo when one is pineboxed or otherwise buried - you can, the rules say so. The question is what happens when the pineboxed Ikiryo tries to come back into play when you have one already in play; what happens - ie which one takes precedence?

The answer is most likely that the pineboxed one cant come back into play, and instead vanishes/fizzles, but we're looking for some marshal confirmation.

If ikiryo got pineboxed, you could then summon another ikiryo into play. If for some reason the pineboxed one was returned to play the forces of paradox would incur and since the model is unique (applies the same as rare models) the one attempting to return to play would forcefully torn from world in a dizzying blink of an eye, since only one version of a unique model can exist in this continuum at a time.
