I played against a Lilith list with Nekima, a blackblood shaman, and a bunch of tots and youngs. The new stuff lets them get those nephilim up to mature so fast, it was rough. I just didn't have the power to chew through them before they got to me. Out of the box Lilith with one maturation Nephelem on turn 2 iwas able to take out the Nephlem with Von and some help from Hans in the back field; Conv Gunslinger and FLamethrower did a nice job wrecking the tots and wounding the Cherub, cinshed off the other nephlem with Hunting knife trigger and more shots but once he got Lilith and the totem got on me he cast a -2 combat spell & on top of drawing a bad control hand my boys fell apart after that Lillith greatsworded my remaing pieces and it was down to Hans and lilith I got lilith down to half hp before it was over Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

All I use them for, really, is the additional card and magical buffer. And, on occasion, Healing energy and ancient words. All her other abilities are very situational, it seems. Also, have you guys been using the totems with him? I can't see the use of the Malifaux child, but the student of conflict has been stellar. Two zero actions, one move action, and 3 general actions? Should be nice. Too bad his melee attacks aren't that great. I've found he is pretty good with range, but if he gets in melee he is just ok. Pretty sure trappers are my favorite freikorps entry. Unless we were to discover that the Rare 1 on the specialists was a typo, ha ha. All of the troops seem pretty solid so I'm having some trouble deciding which to take. For a 25SS crew, does this sound any good? Von Schill Two Friekorpsmenn 8SS Librarian 7SS Specialist 5SS Trapper 6SS Total: 26SS (Cache of three SS) I thought taking one of each of the non basic troopers would make the squad pretty solid and diverse. I haven't been horribly impressed with the basic friekorp, so they're the first to cut when trying to fit stuff in. Looks solid though. Once you move up to 35, add Taelor in there. However, after reading this thread I'm really tempted by sticking a Student in! that's pretty much the out of the box squad I find the Specialist has some of the same problems as Hans- in Melee range they're cuddlefed I like the troops in general & would suggest looking at trading out the specialist (in appropriate occasions) for the Conv.
