Sin City Snowman
I recently decided that I am going to take the plunge into Malifaux but I haven't picked anything up yet. Already have some ideas but I did have a question for everyone about buildings in the game, especially since I am really itching to start building some. Do people usually use buildings that you can enter or just use them as big blocks that you maneuver around? Thanks in advance for your input! Devon_v
For me, it just depends on what the terrain piece is. Some buildings have removable roofs, and some don't. That pretty much decides how it's played.
Flikfutch87
I have one building with a removable roof that models can enter, and the rest are exterior only. Interior-friendly buildings tend to be on the larger side and can sometimes dominate a table, so I tend to not be as eager to look at having them in my terrain. macgowan
I have one with removable roof, but that's mainly storage for my decks. We house-ruled interiors to work like this: Models inside get set off the table in a designated area. Models inside get hard cover from others inside shooting. Models inside may not be targeted until they shoot outside. If they shoot outside, they can draw LoS from any window or door. Then they're placed laying down next to the hole they shot out of to designate they're legal targets. They then get "superior cover" [-] [-] armor+2 until start of their next activation. Models inside are automatically in melee with all other models inside. However, they can shoot at other models inside.
