Kloudfire
I got my MCM crew the other day and after I started priming I notice the one nurse is missing her needle? Any suggestion on how to fix it? (I tread cutting a new needle but it didnt work to well....)
thetang22
That sounds like a really easy fix, provided you have the proper tools. My initial thought would be to get a thin metal rod and clip off a short piece to use as the new needle. Now, just as you would pin something, drill a thin hole to put the rod in and glue up....voila....new needle.
Grimwolf
Thats exactly what I did w/ my Ork Painboy, his needle was broken as well. I almost like the copper rod effect better than the original cast.
Kloudfire
The trick will to find that thin wire.... hardware store? or miniature store?
Grimwolf
I think Gale Force 9 makes a set of Copper wire along with the drill bits for the wire. It was like $10 if I remember right.
TheBugKing
If you really want to go nuts you can get brass tube that is of a similar diameter. Cut with a cut off wheel at a sharp angle and use the square end to insert into the hole drilled for it. A lot of work? Yes. Cool as hell? Yes as well. Only if you are nuts though. I'm not nuts, but I'd do it. No, wait. I think we've already determined we're both nuts after the Joss scheming.
Pensfan
you wouldn't pin the broken piece to it... just use the pin as a replacement for the needle itself. And yes.. the hollow brass tube idea rocks!
Kloudfire
The only problem I am having is how tiny the needle was....not having the original is more difficult
