I start by painting it as if it's a new blade, then i add the decay. Just started painting the blade as new and the pic's were quick taken, that's why the top is a bit out of focus. It had two nicks in it and I added a few more as it didn't look damaged enough to me. I also did the damage on the shield as it's a plastic GW one. Good pictures now.
