supervike
Anyone know anything about Dwarf Wars? I've got a real passion for Wolley War Mammoths....and this just calls my name...
LeadAsbestos
I hear that they are so big that they dwarf other ranges! ( :peace: :bootyshak ) Seriously, I hear they are the size of a standard 28mm human. Never saw them in the metal myself, so just rumor.... The Scotsmen on boars are just f...ing cool. vincegamer
Never seen them in real life either. I'm not keen on the mammoth. I mean, sure the tusks on Woolly Mammoth were huge, but no way were they the length of the rest of the body. (oh, and if you have to have it standing one-foot on a rock ala GW, why not instead of a rock have a crushed ork or elf charriot?)
supervike
ack...I found it totally realistic in a fantasy sort of way!
vincegamer
Okay, I realize the inherent ridiculousness of my criticism. Sure, woolly mammoths didn't have tusks that long, but then they also didn't have dwarves riding their backs or wear full plate barding. Besides, when I look more closely I see the mammoth has artificial "tusk extensions" - to give it that extra length every female mammoth is looking for. :creep:
supervike
A couple of more points about the mammoth.... First, I think its a bit of forced prospective, so the tusks do look a bit longer...But I still think the tusks on Mammoths were huge... second, this pic is from National Geographic... vincegamer
I stand corrected. According to Wikipedia, Mammoths could get up to 13 feet tall and have tusks up to 16 feet long. Open mouth, insert crow, chew vigorously.
supervike
:tongue2: Well, my point wasn't exactly wanting you to eat crow...But its cool to see that the sculpt is physically accurate, at least until you get to the part with the stunted armored warriors on its back...Regardless, I still want one!! Spacemunkie
Looks cool, although I have no idea why it's standing on a turd.
supervike
Looks cool, although I have no idea why it's standing on a turd. Add a couple of feet poking out and it could be a Squashed orc!
