Nurse poison on black joker

The nurse flips the Black Joker for the damage flip. Does she still apply poison?

Yes. If an attack says something like "Takes X/Y/Z damage and gains W condition" then the target will gain the condition even if not damaged (the black joker only counts as 0 for the damage flip), it's the same if a Prevention Flip or an ability reduces the damage to 0. The nurse is worded like this, so the target will always gain poison as long as the attack succeeds.

OTOH if the attack says "Takes X/Y/Z damage. Models damaged gain W condition" then the BJ will mean no models gain the condition because no model was damaged. This is sometimes the case with attacks that have blasts.
