steam truck by itself

I received a von shill box set but it was a 1.5 set so no steam trunk in it.  Is there a way to get the truck by itself or is it only in the 2E box set?   How important is that model?

It's a key model for Von Schill for several reasons:

 

1. It's the only cheap activation he'll get (no other non-totem 3SS models in Outcasts)

2. It provides more of what VS's crew is good at: survivability in the form of healing and condition removal

3. It boosts VS's Hard to Kill aura by making those heals even more efficient (heal up above HtK, profit)

the alternatives being:

use the child who can use his Finish the Cur action fairly competently (would need a 7? on a positive twist) allowing for two uses with it a turn

or the student of conflict who is faster than the trunk and can provide fast to something once every few turns

not using a totem.

Its a non-competition imo the steam trunk is simply too good for what it costs, especially into certain matchups!

Unfortunately the Malifaux Child's Just like you cast action can only target 1AP cast actions so it can't use Finish the Cur due to it being a 0.
