Summoning Daydreams

Quick question, I want to cast daydreaming to summon a day dream. I have 3 daydreams on the board and they are rare 3 so I cant have more. Daydreaming has a trigger that says after succeeding summon an alp instead.

 

What I want to know can I still cast the spell?

 

Secondly if it goes of and I don't get the trigger then nothing happens?

If I cast and get the trigger I summon the alp.

Yes nothing is stopping you from casting it. But if you don't get the trigger it fails since you have reached the rare 3 limit.

If you succeed at a Daydreaming Action when you already have 3 Daydreams, you won't get the Daydream but you still get the Waking +1 Condition, correct? Getting the Condition doesn't depend on the Daydream actually appearing.

The action fails. So no waking. Tbh I think the rules say you can't actually cast the spell or some jazz it's under summoning.
