Shooting into Engagements

During a game yesterday, my opponent (playing gremlins) started shooting into an engagement (Yan Lo surrounded by Ophelia and a couple of her boys).

 

He informed me that he didn't need to randomize the shots because he was HT 1 and I was HT2.  I just went with it because I didn't want to be that guy, but later tried to look it up.

 

I could not find it anywhere in my rule book.

 

Can one of you help an old man out?  Just a page number would be awesome...

There is not a general rule that makes you immune to randomising the shots...but Gremlins (some of them at least) have abilities that make them ignore it, so I would think you should look in at the Gremlin faction models and/or upgrades.

"Aim High" or "Aim High Boys" is the name of the ability.

It used to be (m1e) on most of the Kin but now I think it might be an Ophelia upgrade.

Ophelia has it as  3 and Rami has it innately.
