MasterDisaster
Hey guys I'm currently looking to expand the Outcast section of my collection and Jack Daw is where I'm looking the most. What are people using to represent Montresor and The Guilty on their table tops? Lady Ligeia seems fairly easy to find suitable models for and I've found a couple I think will work nicely. http://elementgames.co.uk/wargames-and-miniatures/cult-steampunk-other-miniatures-games/hell-dorado/the-mourner or http://www.westwindproductions.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=204_224&products_id=1621 As for Monstresor I was thinking of this guy but I'm not 100% sold with some sort of gallows added to the base. http://www.taban-miniatures.com/shop2/product_info.php?cPath=48_74&products_id=493 But The Guilty have me completely stumped! I can't find anything I like. Some ideas or suggestions would be a great help! I'm on bit of a budget so things like the Hanging Tree or other limited ed models might not be so easy for me to get my hands on.
Hjelmen
I'm actually going through the same process as you, at the moment. Guilty are a bit hard, but I've found some undead "civilians" with rusty weapons from Freebooter Miniatures that might work: http://www.kinggames.dk/images/miniatures/sansames_freebooter_01.jpgAs for Lady Ligeia, I'm using The Mourner from Helldorado that you've posted.Montresor is a bigger issue for me, since I have a pretty specific picture in my head, but I can't find any miniatures that hit the spot. Charon from Helldorado (http://elementgames.co.uk/images/products/6509/6408-charon-box-set-med.jpg), with a long rope and noose from his staff might work out, but I'm actually looking more for a human hangman type. I'm trying to figure out if I can convert this guy, http://elementgames.co.uk/images/products/6511/6404-russian-trapper-med.jpg , to hold a rope with a noose instead of an ax, and model a tattered executioners mask on him as well. My fallback plan is to use the Slender Man from Kingdom Death: http://shop.kingdomdeath.com/products/slender-man . He's huge! And I love the model, and the clothes and tentacles, is almost, but not quite, entirely unlike, what I'm looking for as Montresor... But not very Jack Daw-ish...I'll follow this thread with great interest!
MasterDisaster
I was also looking at Charon for Monty but again I wasn't 100% certain on the choice. I think It could work with a little love and attention. Damn those guilty are proving to be a pain though! Thanks for the sugestions though, it's got the old brain cogs working. Kogan Style
I use the following for the Guilty: http://www.bushido-thegame.com/catalog/kusatta-kairai-0 For this one, I drilled holes into his chest to simulate firing squad execution http://www.bushido-thegame.com/catalog/kairai-villager Just love the Hammer, thats a brutal way to die! For Montresor, in my mind I think of a Tormented Child, rather than uber hangman, so I went with Taka, and used Wrath as Ligiea. I am going to paint the strands on Wrath in white, to represent the brides outfit (from the Story) the head, hands and anything else will be a corpse burnt red/decaying look. wadesauce
Im using the dead justice box. If you have it its a good fit. Lady J/Doxie is Lady L, Judge/Punk Z is Monstresor, and the three undeath marshals are our guilty.
