The idea is to come up with a system that suits the majority as comfortably as possible. You have to remember that the Rankings is used to decide the Masters attendees, so everyone deserves a chance to prove they have what it takes and I felt that rewarding more rounds, players and game size offers flexibilty without penalising anyone unduly. At the moment, it seems unlikely that I will be able to make any tournaments this year, so you can all rest easy knowing that the competition will be much easier!
